Taschen makes the best books

A really good overview of many of the landmark designs in this field. This entire series is very good just to look through, as it gives you a basic background, but doesn't demand the concentration level of more advanced books. This book is a way to develop your eye for good design in lighting, an extremely important thing to understand for any home, office, institution..as lighting has a great effect on your quality of life. Well priced.

I got this for my son who loves modern design, along with 1000 Chairs (same authors) (chairs and lights are his favorite). He went nuts! Beautiful books, filled with gorgeous pictures and a lot of history. Fabulous addition to the library of anyone who loves modern design.
