Camera Mount Clamp

Hard to "lock in"Used to hold a mini projector across the roof beams on the back porch.Struggle to get it actually level, no matter the direction I attach it. (I have to use the weight of the power supply to get it level)

I purchased 2 of these. I used them to mount security cameras on front and back door because I didn't want to screw any holes into the house. Not sure if they're rated for outdoor use, but they've been rained on several times and I haven't had any issues.

I am using this for supporting a spotting scope. I like it because it is light and compact and I can leave it attached to my Barska Spotting scope when I zip it in its case. The jaws are wide enough to attach to most objects I can reasonably expect to attach my spotting scope. This clamp can be articulated and manipulated to fit a wide variety of conditions. All of these are the reason why I am still using this product and did not return to Amazon. Here is the major problem I am experiencing however. This particular clamp is very shaky making it difficult to use the scope. I clamp it to solid surface like concrete bench, I tighten it really good and it still shakes too much with a slightest touch. I have other clamps I use for the same purpose in exact same environment that do not have this problem. I cannot pinpoint exactly what it is about the construction of this clamp that makes it so unstable but my be the engineers who designed it will pay attention and figure this out.This may work for you if you need it to secure a camera in a location where nothing touches it, no wind is blowing, and no one is walking by. I have to be very careful because if I so much as blink and my eyelash touches the eye piece of the scope it starts shaking blurring the view.

I was very impressed by this camera clamp. I think it offers great features at an affordable price compared to other items on the market. It can be clamped to my desk as well as rotate between 0 to 90 degrees. It's also extendable and the pole can rotate a complete 360 degrees. The only negative comment is that extension pole can turn slightly even when completely tighten, but that might also be a positive thing. I would definitely buy it again.

Upon 1st inspection these Camara clamps seem pretty nice but if you hang a heavier security camera (e.g. 2.4 lbs) on them the design shortcoming become evident. If you have a ~5 oz GoPro type sport camera, this mount should be OK. The base clamp is a plastic material, and makes for only a semi solid foundation. The friction clamp on the aluminum tube portion doesn't have enough friction to lock the swivel portion in place. We had to use two small screws to lock both ends of the aluminum tube in the plastic fittings (threaded clamping ring at one end, and the pivot head on the tip of the aluminum tube). We also had to rough-up the inside of the outer socket swivel. and socket fitting to get enough friction when thumb screwed tightly in place.

This thing is very flimsy. I purchased it to use with my laser level. Even the smallest one, which is extremely light, is way too heavy for this mount in some situations. Not likely to support any camera even a basic point and shoot.

This camera clamp is good enough to support my Sony Video Hi8 Handicam! When a tri-pod just won't do... as in mounting on a 9 inch wide shelf! Mine is mounted to a 3/4" thick wood shelf, but the jaw opening will accomodate up to 2 1/2" thickness... Cannot go wrong for the price! Definitely a "5" star in my book... RolyRhodes

I use these in the video production area for my church each Sunday. They are perfect in every way, easy to use, sturdy and have a decent weight to them so they don’t allow too many vibrations.
