Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book (Better Homes & Gardens)

Bought this as it was the cookbook my mother had growing up. It is deliciously from the 90s and I am so excited to make something from it. Also arrived much earlier than expected.

This is the same book I bought 35 years ago as a newlywed. It has been my mainstay over all these years and the old one is literally falling apart. I had despaired of finding a new one, as the modern recipes were not good enough (I gave a new hardback away, I was so disappointed). This edition will last me for another 35 years.

A great cook book, I am inspired to buy the hard back version. If you love cooking buy this .

Your basic handbook for the kitchen with recipes for anything you could imagine. Everyone should have a copy!

i like the recipes and the practicality of most of the recipes in this book, good for busy mothers like me.

We found this book gave us a fabulous insight into American cooking. Especially recommend the Spaghetti & Meatballs recipe, one of our favourites. Our house has become legendary for the american menus we dish up at parties

Quite disappointed, print is very small ( even with glasses on could barely see) also printed on cheap beige thin paper.

My mum had a BH&G cookbook but when she passed 23 years ago, my older brother wanted her cookbooks. I let him because at the time I didn’t really cook so didn’t realise the value of a great cookbook. Over the years I would remember things she used to make and it made me a bit sad that I didn’t know how to make them too. I moved to Australia over a decade ago and though the food here is phenomenal, it made me miss her cooking even more sometimes. I finally decided to look into purchasing my own copy of a BH&G cookbook. This isn’t the edition she had (hers was older) but I have found several recipes for my favourite dishes she used to make and now I can have a taste of mums homemade cooking again! So happy!

Good recipes , nice book . Would make a good gift

Smaller paperback than I thought I was getting as I know someone with this book and it is paperback but it is cookbook size. Oh well, guess I didn’t pay enough attention to what it was. I like that I know what the ingredients are and it’s down to earth cooking with lots of other info in it besides all the recipes.

かなり基本的な事から載っているのでお料理初心者のバイブルになりうる本です。 カテゴリー分けされている構成もわかりやすく、レシピの数も多いので長く愛用することができると思います。 ただし勿論、和食系のレシピはありません。アメリカンな家庭料理の修行にはもってこいです！
