What is this the difference between this and the AR9100, thanks?

AR9100 is better at cleaning, AR9200 offers better protection and performance.

Hi there, this is absolutely wonderful stuff. I use it in my 2 L diesel Jaguar. I had a bit of a rattle on the engine which this wonderful stuff got rid of now I use it all the time when I do an oil change. I also use the fuel additive as well. The car runs much smoother and much quieter but you do need to do at least 100+ miles For it to take full effect of that helps

Can i add with fresh new cold oil, instead of prewarming engine and just take it a drive.

Hi there, as long as you’ve not overfilled with oil that would be fine. Remember it will take 100 to 150 miles to take effect I was outstanding by the difference. It made to my Jaguar

This has given the whole oil engine a black color. Is it normal? Thanks

I don't know if it is normal, to be honest, I put the Archoil in with a fresh oil change and filter so it had been in there about 6 months/6000 miles, and on my next change, the mechanic actually said the oil was really black and it came out in a deluge, as in, it just basically slipped out of the sump plughole (not sure what the technical term is) again I do not know if this was a good thing or not. However, my engine was noticeably quieter and smoother after using it, and on my next change I left out the Archoil and when I spoke with the mechanic he said the oil was in pretty good condition and wondered if the Archoil has helped clean out some of the old engine oil on the previous changes. Another thing to note, I had them put Mobil1 instead of the usual service shop oil, and when they drained the oil they said this was really black too and the mechanic said because these premium oils have more detergents and cleaning ability, so this is likely why they sometimes come out looking really very dark. He also re-iterated something I have heard from lots of mechanics over the years, that regular oil changes and use of good quality oils are the best things to lubricate and keep the engine clean and there is no need for additional additives in the oil as these premium oils contain a good blend and amount of detergents and other things. Now, I just use the regular oil from the service folks, whatever that is, the mechanic said last time they were currently using Comma, Fully Synthetic, Eco-F 5W-20, which the workshop folks really rated as good oil, so as long as the oil that is used is specified for your engine and manufacturer (in my case Ford EcoBoost engine) then it is fine. I have had the oil changed every 6 months for many years, I have the main service and also have an interim service 6 months later, and from all the mechanics I have spoken to over the years, this seems to me to be the best way to keep the engine internals clean (as much as it can be) and well lubricated, so I have not used any Archoil or additional oil additives for the last four oil changes in my current vehicle nor used any premium branded oil, only the oil used by the workshop for the standard servicing. I also stick some Lucas Oil UCL in the tank every 2-3 tanks full depending on where I am filling up, for example, I never use Lucas Oil at Shell, Esso or BP as those fuels (V-Power, Supreme+, Ultimate) already contain some but will use it if I am filling at Tesco/Sainsbury's/Morrisons etc, and this seems to make more difference than the Archoil did, in general, it is quieter, idles smoother and is more responsive. I also use 97+ Super which also makes a difference, though my car runs fine with regular 95 it is noticeably happier with higher octane fuel and I generally get better fuel economy. Though I accept this may not be the case for everyone and some folks may not agree, my takeaway from using the Archoil, it does seem to work as it says it does, and I have no doubt it has benefits in some instances. However, I feel it is not needed for most folks/engines. Change the oil and filter regularly, and if you want to, then use some of that 'nicer' oil, always use the best fuel your engine can utilise and that you can afford and occasionally (1-2 times a year) stick some extra detergent in it like Millers Petrol/Diesel Power EcoMax or Redex etc...and if you want to, add some upper cylinder lube now n then which also seems to make a noticeable difference.

What's happening.

I can't quite believe this. Put this in my 2 litre diesel VW before a trip from Norfolk to Cornwall. Full to the brim, at one stage combined range was 900 miles, never been anywhere near that before. Done 460 miles so far, still half a tank and 380 range left. Like wow. Engine a lot quieter and smoother too. Will update at end of journey, which will be more than 1000 miles.Update, in fact it was 1170 miles. As you can see from the pic, achieved 770 miles with 20 remaining, and a lot of the last 200 were short journeys, if it had all been long runs don't doubt it would be more than that. Well impressed. And it is honestly quieter and smoother. Buy it!! You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely can’t recommend it enough

My particulate filter kept coming on and I wanted to resolve it. Put the whole thing in my inside pocket for a couple of hours doing some jobs so it was mixed well and truly. Got my car to temp and then bobed it in and waited for 15 mins. Then got on the motorway and it’s never come back. Plus everything sounds quieter.

Messy

Mine arrived, I opened the box to discover that about third of the bottle was inside the bubble wrap and the lid was pretty loose, and it was all rather messy...I had to get rid of the dirty, oily packaging right away, as once I took from the packet it started to dribble and drip everywhere...I managed to get a cloth around the bottle, but as I say, at least a third had gone by this point...So, who knows if it works, or would have worked better for me, I poured in what I had but I have about 5.5L of oil and guess I had maybe 120ml or so left in the bottle by the time I managed to get the lid sealed and cleaned up the bottle and the mess...Not a great start, shitty packaging and poor quality bottling, and clearly poor quality control...Very annoyed, very peeved, quite unhappy seriously disappointed...

I think this works ok

Gave me an extra 2 mpg on a run of 200 miles ( when you only get 38 normally and suddenly you get 40, it’s a bonus)
