As advertised great spice

Spice saffron in ground form to it makes recipes better tastes. But add a little whole thread saffron on top, to be saver on costly foodstuffs!

Saffron powder much easier to use and measure. Effectiveness is comparable but price is very different! Generic flower less than half price of powder. The sealed pouch allows for better shelf life, aroma is much more pungent with flower

I haven't use it yet but I was told this brand is really good.

This is a great spice to add to your basmati or jasmine rices. Totally recommend Just make sure you add it to your water or stock an hour or so before adding your rice Saffron needs to “open up “ to release it’s flavors

What I got was not saffron. It was pale, odorless, had sticks and had a faint order of some sort of vegetation, but it was NOT saffron! We surmised that it was possibly ground crocus flower but it didn't explain the sticks. Would not recommend.

Great and easy using in dishes for chicken or when called for in a recipe.
