Would give 4.5 stars if I could
Nice heater. Gets hotter than expected based on my existing oil-filled Kenwood heater I have in a different room. Really like the LCD display and how it turns off in low-light, so if you were using this in a bedroom it dims when you turn the lights off. The only critique I would give is that I'm not crazy about the remote control. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that over time these little remotes have a tendancy to get lost. Was looking for an oil-filled heater without a remote and ironically, the ones without a remote are all more expensive. If you're like me and probably a lot of others, by now you have so many little remotes you don't even remember what they are all for. There are two functions that can only be done from the remote: turning off the "beep" sound on button input, and turning off the LED display manually. Would prefer if ALL functions could be done on the front panel. Would be nice if there was some sort of storage onboard the heater for the remote. Now Have to really be careful to not lose it. Just personal preference, not worth docking a whole star. It's a very nice heater and "space gray" goes with my home office nicely.

Amazing amount of comfortable heat - don't hesitate to buy this to thrive this winter in warmth!
Despite putting in a more efficient and energy smart central heat and air system a few years ago, our house requires us to bundle up inside, close off rooms and vents in some rooms to keep others warmer, and being chilled. I am always feeling cold, so winter is a weary time for me. We have done tons of weather proofing. Supplementing with space heaters throughout helps us make it more comfortable, but winter was about surviving and not thriving. I work from home and often I wore fingerless gloves to work at the computer, heat holder socks, and a jacket to stay warm, along with warmer clothing. Having 20 degree nights and 40 degree days on the way this week, I spoke of the dread of being cold to a friend and they told me about their radiator space heaters. I couldn't imagine how they could make a room warm without forced air fans, but I was willing to try. I researched the ones on Amazon, and put in an order for two of these. They arrived on time, the day of the big freeze drop. According to the Weather Channel, 90 million people would be under a freeze warning in the US. One heater arrived many hours before the other. I did as instructed and ran it on high for two hours with the room well ventilated to disipate the "new heater" smell. In about 45 minutes, I realized the room felt only slightly chilly despite the door being wide open and it being in the middle 40s outside. There was a smell to the heater in the first hour of it working, but like mentioned I had the door wide open only a few feet away. I have asthma and it didn't trigger any wheezing or bother me. After the two hours, I shut the door and let it continue on H3 setting or high. In about 2 hours our den was toasty warm. I ended up shutting off three space heaters scattered in other rooms. A few hours later I turned down the temperature on our central heat and air. The second heater arrived, I put the first one on the other end of the house, opened up the door for another two hours and ran the second one on high. This one did not have the smell of the first one when it started but I still ran it for the two hours with the door open. I don't know how to describe the comfortable feeling of the warmth of these heaters. They throw out heat to the environment without pockets of cold air and no forced air fan. No noise. You don't have to be right beside them to be warm. When going outside and returning inside, I used to go stand in front of the space heater or near vents to get warm. Yesterday, last night, and this morning after walking our dog, I came into the room and was surprised each and every time how warm I was immediately. I put both heaters on H2 and let them run through the night feeling safer than I ever did with regular space heaters. I would always shut them off at night to sleep and spend the start of the day trying to warm up the house. Anyway, I ran the heaters all night. No space heaters. Our system set to 65 (spoiler - it NEVER kicked on!) One of the heaters at one end of our house in our den, next to our kitchen and the second heater on the other side of the house in a guest bedroom. The house was so comfortable. The air was not dried out. One end of the house was 70 degrees and the other was 75. While the central heat and air was set to 65, it did not kick in overnight. That means these two heaters made my entire 1600 square foot house warmer than our $16,000 new energy efficient central heat system. I'm sitting at my computer, no jacket, no fingerless gloves, and it is 31 degrees outside. The heater in the guest bedroom warmed it as well as the two rooms adjoining it. Not hot dry air, comfortable warm air. My dog was in heaven yesterday and again this. Lying near the heater on her side comfortable and sleeping rather than moving around from one bed to another curling up trying to get warm. She is a senior and this made me so happy to see her comfortable and warm versus achy and cold. As a note, my friend has a spilt level home, with a partial finished basement and a two car garage at the bottom. They bought radiator heater last year and put it in their basement. She told me it felt like they had radiant heat in the upstairs with the floor always being warm and the house comfortable. They ended up buying a second one - smaller - and putting it in their garage. It helped them fight off frozen pipes and their cars were warmer to get into on really freezing mornings. I expected to have this initial winter freezing period be the start of the long winter fighting to stay warm, but instead I feel like this is such a change for us. We'll be thriving, not just surviving, and I expect we will be saving a lot of money without the many space heaters running through the day and we won't have to be bumping our central heat system up to keep the house not warm, but not freezing. We might not have to use our central heat system at all sometimes. To wake up this morning warm and sit down to work feeling as if it were in the upper 60s to low 70s outside was amazing. DO NOT HESITATE to try this heater. I hope it works for you like it did us. If you know someone that could use one for their home, they will be grateful for the gift. I really liked this model because I could run it on one of three modes (H1, H2, H3), or set it at a specific high temperature, could set a specific time for it to come on, or set a timer. I LOVED the safety features with it. I liked that the information panel goes dim when the lights go dim, and I liked the visual light going yellow, to orange, to red to indicate the ambiant temperature. Everything was as described, it is steady and well balanced, not super heavy, but heavier than regular space heaters so less likely to tip. The temperature monitor is on the bottom of the unit, so it uses the lower air temperature to operate, and whether you have it on hardwood, tile, a rug, or carpeting would likely change the temperature read by the heater. I have hardwood floors. It does not vibrate, no noise, a bit of clicking (barely audible - certainly couldn't hear it with a television running) when it starts heating. It was well packaged. Inside its own box, then inside an Amazon box that was well packed with interior spacing wrap to keep it steady. A bit heavy, as mentioned earlier, but that is in relation to what usual space heaters weigh. Once you get it out of the box, the caster wheels make it super easy to move and put it where you want. I am so happy with this and have never decided to sit down and write a review less than 24 hours of buying. I will update this review when we get our energy bill for some more insight.

Much better heater than a forced air, even ceramic style
Wish I had tried this type of heater sooner. Even on low (600W) it puts out a good amount of heat. It quickly heated up my living room, as I put it under the ceiling fan which was set on upwards on low to help speed air mixing in the room as convection alone would take longer. Sitting near it was like sitting near a fire place. I could feel the warmth radiating from it. It is silent except for the occasional creak of thermal transients as the unit cycles. In a well lit room the display remains on but in low light it does turn off after the 10 seconds mentioned in manual. The Comfort Indicator performs the same way. The thermal mass of the oil provides a a much more stable/continuous level of heat than a forced air type heater. There is a slight chemical smell when first powered it on that I suspect is just because it is new out of box and will stop with use, not objectionable but noticeable. It rolls easily on tile or wood floors, I don't have carpet anywhere so I don't know how easily it would be on carpet. The Burn Warning is real, my IR thermometer shows the fins at 195 degrees F when on low so DO NOT touch when running and follow the 3 foot distance recommendation. Take caution when children are around. Don't place the remote on it either for this reason. This would be a good choice for a survival heater as many of the lower end solar power stations would be able to run it on low (600W) or even medium (900W) BUT due to its electronics, be sure it is a Pure Sine Wave power station as not all are.

Save money and add warmth
If you live in a drafty house this is a great solution to boost bedroom heat. The control panel on the unit is hard to read but at least there is one in case you misplace the remote. It takes a while to feel the extra warmth it adds to my bedroom but once it you do the wait is worth it. Compact design and wheels make it easy to use in different rooms. Great value!

Thermostat does NOT work at all
The thermostat mode does not work at all. My room temp is about 68F and I set it to 41F and it still heats up to its full. So it’s really malfunctioning rather than being inaccurate.
