Be sure to set your color and brightness before affixing in ceiling
My wife and I have been wanting to try some of these lights in various areas around our house. We like the fact that they are small, inexpensive and easy to install, and decided to try a single light first. We picked the area we needed a little extra light in, (over the kitchen sink) and I got started. The packaging was good, and sturdy with nice images on the box to show what we should find inside.Inside was exactly what we had ordered, a single, multi-frequency down light, with the wiring box.I would like to say that the only thing that would have been nice to find in the box is a diagram giving the basics on connecting the wires.I have plenty of experience with wiring, so I knew what to expect and what to do, but a beginner would benefit from even a small diagram of the wiring box, with the plugs inside, and how to use them. So, the hardest part of the whole process was measuring to get the proper location for the light, to center it over our sink area. After that it was a breeze.Oh, please make sure you turn off the power to the area you are working on!Safety first!Use the slider switches on the light box, to select your desired light frequency, and brightness.(You can change them later, but you would need to pull the light back out of the ceiling to do so.)Use the included cutting guide to outline or at least mark the area to cut.If you have a 4 1/4" cutting blade, making the hole is a snap.I didn't have one the correct size, so I traced the guide, and then used a drywall saw to cut my round hole.I pulled the electrical wire down and trimmed off the shielding.Next, I popped out the desired cutout on the metal box for my needs and pushed the wire through, into the box. Then, carefully separated the wires, and cut about 1/2 inch of shielding off each.Took each plug in the box, White, Black and Ground, and plugged each corresponding wire in by pressing gently (so as not to break the wire) but firmly to make sure it went completely into the plug and was snug. After that, I closed the box, connected the light to the box, and secured it by screwing the connector cover. Then I turned on the power and flipped the light switch.Voila! It worked, and looked great.I turned off the switch, and turned the breaker back off before pushing the whole assembly into the ceiling. After pushing the box up into the hole, and positioning it, I pushed the spring clamps on the lamp assembly gently up and inserted it into the hole. After it was in the hole, I gently let go of the springs, so they would push down against the inside and secure the light in place.I turned the breaker back on and flipped the switch, and it looks great!I will be buying more of these lights for other areas of my house. For anyone looking for little extra light, or to update a whole room, these are a great solution.

Easy to install with lots of options
I got this to replace a similar light from a different brand that had broken. If I compare this new light to the old light the Juno is much better, however it did come at a higher price point. The Juno light was very easy to install, although I have installed similar lights before, so this wasn’t my first rodeo. Still, the Juno comes with very easy to use wire connectors and a slim electrical box that was much easier to fit into the ceiling than the one that came with the previous light. This electronic box just slid right in, where as my old one was a tight squeeze. I also liked that the springs that hold the light in place were firm, but flexible enough to easily set the light in place. The springs on my last one were extremely tight and one ended up breaking, which is why I needed to replace the light. The Juno also has a small insulation ring around the light. I guess this is good in theory, but it also causes a small gap between the light and ceiling, defeating the purpose of the insulator, which means I will have to caulk, which my last light didn’t have (this is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5). There are 3 brightness settings and multiple tones between very white to very yellow. The brightest setting is very bright. I started out with the highest brightness setting, but since it’s in a small hallway with a low ceiling, it’s actually so bright that it hurts my eyes, so I think I will turn it down to medium. However I can imagine that in a large room with high ceilings this high brightness would be perfect. With all the options there really should be something for everyone.Overall I really like this light and I am hopeful that it will hold up better than my last one.

Easy install
Full disclosure, I received this free to review.I am actually quite happy with it.It was very easy to install, the connectors for the wiring were very convenient, much easier than wire nuts.As you can see in the picture, I put up a piece of drywall to test out the mounting system.I think the spring mounts to hold the light up is plenty strong to last as long as the light.I cannot speak to longevity yet. Since it's LED I would expect it to last at least a few years. As far as installing in a fully finished ceiling, I think the biggest difficulties would not be the fault of the light itself: i.e. running the wiring and cutting the circular hole. It does come with a template for the hole though, so there's no guesswork there. The hole is big enough to fit the ballast through and I don't think there's any real reason to mount the ballast, it's light enough that you can just set it on the drywall if you have difficulties getting tools through the hole to mount it.For functionality, it seems as bright as I would expect from a light this size. It's not going to light up a whole room on its own, but several strategically placed would do well. It has 3 dimmer settings, but they don't seem to make much of a difference. It's noticeable if you're playing with it, but "Dim" isn't really all that dim. The color temperatures, however, work very well. I played with it and the colors changed to what I expected them to look like, from the bright white/blue of 5000K to the comfortable yellow tinged 2700K that we're used to from incandescent lights. Each color temperature setting was distinctively different. I was able to match the color of the light that I am using it with, which ended up as the 2700K setting.Overall, I think it's a good product. I don't know how it compares to other similar products, but I think it's worth a buy, especially if you're not sure what color you want the light to be.
