If you’re looking for a budget-friendly Honda key fob replacement, this one mostly gets the job done. However, be aware that certain functions—like the trunk release—might not work properly. On this keyfob the trunk release button doesn’t work but if you press the lock and unlock button at the same time it open the trunk.

I bought a used 2016 Honda CR-V. Only had 1 keyless FOB. I bought 2 of these . The quality and workmanship are very close to the original. A local locksmith cut the keys and programmed the FOBS, for about the cost of one FOB from the dealership. The locksmith had no problem programming. I'm very pleased with this purchase and the outcome.

I ordered a key fob for my 2016 Honda CRV. This is the one Amazon said would work on my car. It did NOT. It did not have the button that had the trunk open with the word HOLD on it. I waited too long to get it programmed at my locksmith’s business so I can’t return it. Very deceptive advertising. It’s now 9/25/25. The key on the left is the original that came with my car. Evidently Amazon does not have the fob I need. Now I’m out $40+

Great eqsy to set up

My son had 1 key for his 2016 CRV and I worried he'd lose it like he had for other cars. I just got a new OBD scanner with immobilizer function and Immediatly purched this 2nd key. Surprisingly, the Honda Dealer was the cheapest place to get it cut, only $18. I fired up the scanner and had it programmed on the first try in less than 10 min. So satisfying having that 2nd key on the key rack in the kitchen.

As stated in a review by a previous buyer...aside from not releasing remote rear hatch it mostly works. But I'd look elsewhere since it is NOT fully functional as advertised.

This is not authentic and doesn't work well. I wouldn't risk paying the key cutter to try this. The labor is just way too expensive.
