Excellent replacement tires for Rubbermaid cart
I purchased 4 of these tires to replace the original tires on my 8 year-old Rubbermaid 5642 Yard Carts. They are better than I expected. They were easy to mount and replace on the carts. I do agree with another reviewer who suggested that they ship the tires without the bearings in place, so the customer can select the correct bearings for their needs. Other than that, these are great tires, at a super price, and most importantly, make using my old carts so much easier.

Load and go without drama
The 3/4" bearing fit easily over the 3/4" axle on my vintage plywood garden cart. This is important because there are various interpretations of what 3/4" is in the world of imported industrial supplies. The previous wheels, purchased when I rebuilt the cart with new plywood were always flat, like everyone's, and solid tires just make sense. The plastic wheels seem to be made of quality plastic and thick enough to be durable. There are reviews indicating some premature failures, but I really do not expect that from the look and feel of these reasonably hefty units. I think the cost is higher than it should be, but there do not seem to be any bargains in the cart wheel world. Plastic wheels for cars cost $20K, so this is better for sure.

Easy to Install Out of the Box
I have an old “Carts Vermont” mid-sized garden cart (M-20). The tires were literally shredding off the rims so I finally had to find replacements. I saw a photo that another reviewer took of his same cart and he said these wheels worked just fine and they’re way less expensive than getting OEM steel wheels from the manufacturer. Being plastic, I don’t suppose that they can take the same kind of maximum loads that the OEM’s can take, but I don’t need to tote around really heavy loads anyway so I figured these might do the job for me. So far, so good. The cart has a ¾” axle so it was just a matter of pulling a cotter pin and swapping out the wheels. Where I live the winter temperatures can get down into single digits sometimes so I’m waiting to see how the plastic reacts to that. Might make them more brittle and prone to breaking. But, like I said, I don’t ever need to haul really heavy loads. Maybe 60 or 70 pounds max. So, time will tell. At least I don’t have to hold the tires on the rim with heavy twist ties anymore!

Nice price and appears to be good quality.
The 3/4" diameter on the hub of the wheel did not fit on the 3/4" axle so there was no tolerance to slide the wheel on, so we had to grind quite a bit off the axle ends to get them to fit. Overall thought we are very pleased with the end result after about an hour of grinding with grinder. These were purchased for a Cabela's garden log cart that we have had for quite a few years. Originally it had pneumatic wheels and the air inner tube and tire rubber finally wore out and was much cheaper about $90 replacement to fix the two wheels at REI, Inc. with no guarantee that the tube wouldn't get punctured as they felt a new cushioning needed to be put around rim. Even with "free labor" for the fix if we purchase a $30 membership with them, it was cheaper and nicer to get these! Will sell the others.

No more tire pump.
I have had my cart for over 40 years. Its original design is for transporting firewood though I converted it at times into a deer cart during season. The inflatable wheels eventually would no longer hold so problem solved with these.

They seem OK, time will tell on durability
They are super easy to install. They come with 3/4" bearings installed, plus a set of 5/8" bearings in case you have a smaller axle. My axle is 3/4", so I did not have to swap bearings. I've read that, with the plastic wheel and spokes, you do have to be careful to limit side loads. Time will tell on durability. Excellent value - I got the pair for less than half the cost of one steel wheel from the manufacturer.

I use the them on my dock cart
I purchased these to replace the previous set I installed on my dock cart. It is normally loaded with 100 pounds of tools. The first set lasted well over three years. This new set is failing after 18 months I'm not sure that I would consider these a good investment.
