I did buy this from B&Q as it was a tenner cheaper so why not. However, exactly the same product which works as intended! It cools very well and is fantastic during these summer months as my room temperature gets upwards of 30c otherwise. This unit brought my relatively large bedroom down from 28c to 22c within an hour or so and happily maintained it there. Once I’ve got the correct window seal in place I’m sure it would drop further.I will say the unit is very noisy but this is not uncommon for these portable a/c’s, you won’t want to sleep with it on unless you’ve got some ear plugs to hand!Very simple to use and no need to mess about with drainage hoses if you’re just using it for cooling or fan modes which is also a plus.The app also works very well if you’re into that but a remote control is also included (no batteries included however)Good product 👍

The time of this review this portable air-conditioning unit is around £180This unit is described as possible because it’s not fixed to a wall ‘portable’ doesn’t mean that it’s light, thankfully it’s on wheels because this unit is actually quite heavy.When you look at the description and photographs on Amazon for this unit, it shows it comes with a hard plastic vent to go onto an external source. I would think the plastic vent that is supplied with this unit is meant for some kind of sash windows that slides either sideways or up-and-down, it wouldn’t be for a Normal domestic window in the UK.In the instruction manual, there’s no instructions about this hard plastic vent, but it refers to the kits contents as having a cloth type window seal, see photograph item 6, this is what you actually need to vent this unit outside a domestic home in the UK. The soft zip up vent kits come in different sizes, I suppose it’s understandable that this unit didn’t come one because firstly they come in a few different sizes and secondly this portable air-conditioning unit is, according to the instruction manual, designed “ for use in shops , in light industry and on farms, or for commercial use by lay persons “Anyway, I took that to mean this machine is probably quite robust and will work better so I ordered a window kit from Amazon in the size I needed, it was around £10, attached a photograph on the front of that manual.This unit can be used as an air conditioner, a dehumidifier or just as a fan.It will connect to “ smart things” via the amazon app ( or Tuya it almost identical ) so you could run an Alexa routine or similar on Google home..It has a built in timer which goes up in hoursIt has a sleep mode to make it quieterIt has a very clear display with digital readout for temperature and bright coloured LED’s for everything else.If you don’t get on with the buttons there is a simple remote control that needs two AAA batteries.Once the vent is sorted everything else is quite straight forward.The hard plastic vent attachments go on either end of a flexible tube. The flexible tube is made of a semi hard corrugated plastic not the soft type you get in extractor fans, more ‘ industrial’ but not metal.One vent slots into the back of the machine and the oblong part vents outsideI plan to give it some more testing over the next few days including looking at the temperature and have a look at the running costs, perhaps add some more photographs, I will update the review in due courseI hope you found the review helpful so far
