The string is just as sturdy as the original string the cat game supplies. This package comes with a generous amount of string for the price. I am working with about a total of 36 ft each time. After using this size for a few times, I noticed the string would keep popping off the pulley. I later learned that the size compatible for the toy is anywhere between 3-4mm by product seller recommendation. Will be sizing up.
