A great, affordable option for a high quality laptop
As I am currently using this laptop to write this review, this was the best purchase I have made this year! I needed a laptop after my son was born, to work from home. I needed something budget friendly, reliable, and not too complicated. My mom has a different version of the ASUS Zenbook so she recommended I look into these. I am so glad she did! I have never had any issues with it's speed performance. The quality is great as well as the size. I have hooked it up to my headphones, and used the computer speaker itself, and the sound quality meets my expectations. I now use this laptop daily for both work and home to-do's.

Computer works amazing. Fast and all-around good computer. My kid uses it daily in college. Good price too

Beast of a machine
So far, this is a beast of a machine. Only downside is it's installed with Windows 11 Pro 22H2 and it won't upgrade to the latest revision (24H2.) You have to manually do the upgrade. It would be nice if a sheet of instructions were included on how to do this instead of wasting time doing research on upgrading an out of date (unsupported) operating system.

Very good for work + awesome display
Good for work, terrible idea to solder the ram (just to push me to spend a couple hundred more dollars [before the ram shortage])

High price, below average performance.
I bought this laptop around 6 months ago and I have to say that the experience hasn’t been great. It’s slow and gets hot really fast even when I’m running basic browser. The battery life isn’t great either. Picture quality is good it does have ports but these don’t justify the price.

Very Reliable
I have this for a month now and it has lived up to its good reviews. I needed to replace my old Toshiba laptop, and didn't realize they were nowhere to be found. I was skeptical about Asus, having never really seen anyone with one or really not knowing the company, but they did not disappoint me. Besides being so much lighter than my old one, it's so compact, with a very bright, clear, screen. Your palms can be on the edge of it while you're typing and it won't work jump all over the page. Unlike my old one and a new other brand (won't mention names), that screwed up anything you were typing if your hand or hands were on the base, and NOT on the touchpad. Very annoying. Being a retired teacher and using this for my writing and some research I am very pleased. I would have liked a numbers keys separately (hard to teach an old dog new tricks), but I do prefer its being compact instead. Of course, being new it has great speed. I'll revisit this when I've loaded it with more work and advise if it changed. As far as gaming, I play on my phone for relaxation, so I'm clueless as to the needs of gamers! Lol

Beware -read why below
DO NOT BUY, My Asus Zenbook will not get certain websites for instance it won’t allow any Yahoo or Microsoft websites to work. I’ve been on customer support for months trying to fix this issue and also sent my Zenbook into warranty service but they couldn’t fix the problem either. This all took so much time that now Amazon won’t allow a refund. The seller won’t do anything either and claims it’s a software issue. Update: added a star because found out the problem is with my WiFi, I have T-Mobile WiFi so that’s the problem, my computer works properly with all other WiFi I’ve tested.

I gave up my MacBook for this? Yes I did and I dont have any reqrets!
So it was time for a new laptop - one that was transportable (small) and durable. I loved the feel, transportability and function of my MacBook but I went into a couple of stores to look at possible options before buying another MacBook. I looked at the Asus Zenbook because of its size and the ergonomics of the computer. I liked the feel and no nonsense design and most importantly liked the size and weight (I use my laptop on the road). So I opted for the Asus instead of another Mac and have not regretted it. Graphics are excellent, speed exceptional and the "feel" and size of the PC are just what I wanted. I was worried that it might be too small to be functional for long periods (eye fatigue) but that has not been the case. Touch pad quite large and a lot like my retired MacBook. I also do not have to worry about needing cloud services as I did with Apple as the hard drive is quite large. The carrying case I have for it is quite small making it easy to carry. Only two complaints however 1) the keyboard is illuminated (a must for me) but ONLY on start up and does not stay on during use and 2) the ccomputer came with a sizable amount of bloatware (unnecessary software) that most i did not want or need.
