Hubs normally has these vitamins in separate tablets so to have them all in one saves not only money but bulk in his tablet box. They are the same shape and size as his usual magnesium capsules so do take some getting used to taking if you are used to small tablets, but he normally takes them after his meal with a glass of water, Good value since you get three months worth !

This is not only vitamin D3 but also other minerals such as magnesium, calcium and zinc. Since this is a potent dosage you have to make sure other vitamin supplements you are taking do not include vitamins D3 as well. It is recommended to take 15 mcg (600 IU) per day for children and young adults and more for adults (depending on age), up to 2000 IU. Not more. When my child had vitamin D3 deficiency, he was taking 6000 IU a day but for a very short time, before the surgery. Considering that for most of the year, we are not getting enough sunlight in the UK, vitamin D3 is a must. High dosages like this will be great for the autumn and winter months.

The tablets are oval in shape and cream in colour and some slight smell residue. The tablets are slightly big and maybe could do with being a little smaller to make them easier to swallow. They are easy to swallow and tasteless with no unpleasant or unwanted side effects so far.
