I bought 2. One for my husband and one for my son. Within 20 minutes after taking them out of the freezer, they weren't even cold! Don't waste your $ on the crappy things!

We've had several hot (90+) days over the last couple of weeks, and this gave me a great opportunity to test this neck ice pack. It does provide some cooling, and feels pretty good on the neck; however, on hot days it only seems to last 10 - 15 minutes. If you had two or three of them and were working outside at home where you could swap them out, perhaps they'd be a little more useful (although swapping every 10 minutes or so would get old pretty quickly). It's a decent idea if you get the right size, but the implementation falls a little short.There was one warning on the package that really worried me, and I didn't see any evidence of it in the listing itself. To quote: "If the item you purchased is smaller size to you, please stop using it and return and change the larger size. There is a risk of compression of the carotid artery." When I put the neck cooler into the freezer, I positioned it in such a way that it "froze" expanded, just to make it looser on my neck. I was very aware of the ice pack while I tested it outside, and it did tend to contract to its original size as time went on. Even if the ice pack lasted longer than the 10 - 15 minutes, I wouldn't continue using this size; regardless of just how risky it is, the consequences of anything impinging on the carotid artery are just to great to chance it.

Great product would order for anyone heat bothers

It gets cold, obviously... but its very stiff.. It wont flex to get around a neck easily. And when you do, it pushes around your next uncomfortably. I think they need to reduce the gel down in this to not be so full so it can flex easier and don't pressure point your neck so hard as its trying to rebound to its normal shape. That's all pretty key if you use this for a headache or to drop temp in high temp areas. You want it to be relatively free moving.
