Halo Power Max is a fun, all-around great paddle for advanced beginning and intermediate
This paddle is easy to hold and play with right away. Light weight which was great for me at the kitchen line during hand battles. However when defending a fast ball from the midcourt there was a lack of cushioning and stability for me but that may just be user error. Grip is extra tacky which is not great for someone like me who changes grip on backhands but great for others I'm sure. Overall, very happy with this paddle. I have the Omega Hybrid Air previously and that had noticeably more power which I loved but my wrist felt the reverberations after a few games so I would have to switch paddles to finish the night. I also have the Halo Control XL which lacked a little power after coming from the Omega so I kept searching. This Halo Power Max is a happy in between of the two. It has some power and it has some control. Very maneuverable. I switch between Halo Power Max and the Halo Control XL because I miss the length and the cushioning sometimes, especially when playing against bangers. All the SLK paddles have been very good, I've been very happy with the ones I've tried. Would definitely recommend the Halo Power Max.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Power and Spin – A Game Changer!
I've been playing pickleball for a few years now, and the Selkirk SLK Halo Power MAX is by far one of the most impressive paddles I’ve used. Right out of the box, you can tell this is a high-quality paddle – the raw carbon fiber face gives it a sleek, premium feel, and it translates directly into performance on the court. Spin & Control: The textured carbon fiber surface generates incredible spin. Whether I’m going for topspin drives or cut shots, the paddle bites the ball beautifully and gives me precise control over my placement. Power: Thanks to the Rev-Core Power polymer core, there’s no shortage of pop. It has a solid, slightly head-heavy feel that delivers powerful groundstrokes without feeling too stiff or unmanageable. You can drive the ball deep with ease and still finesse your dinks at the net. Comfort & Build: The grip is comfortable for long sessions – tacky enough for control but doesn’t get slippery. The paddle also absorbs shock well, so I haven’t experienced any wrist or elbow fatigue even after extended play. Final Thoughts: If you're a serious player looking to level up your game with a paddle that offers elite spin, power, and control, the SLK Halo Power MAX is worth every penny. It's ideal for intermediate to advanced players who want that extra edge in aggressive, fast-paced play.

Best paddle I’ve used so far!
This paddle has really helped improve my game! Feels really good in my hand, absorbed some of the “shock” of the hit, and is really easy to craft your shot with this. I prefer this paddle of some $300 paddle I’ve used before.

Great paddle
I like this selkirk compare to my old selkirk. I forgot the name of it. This one has morw control, better spin, softer surface for control. Good quality paddle. I use it for indoor and outdoor play.

Kitchen Battle is not a joke with this paddle
super happy with this paddle... is a game changer, weight is light, its amazing for battles in the kitchen, super strong pop, just be aware the sweet spot is very reduced , so if you are a beginner I do not recommend this version 13mm, topspin is decent or I would say ok, out there! are better paddles for topspin, but also I would say if u are good placing shots in specific spot this paddle is good for that!

High Quality Racquet
This is a high quality racquet. It offers greater control than a beginners racket. The control helps with making more forceful serves and returns.

Great Upgrade Paddle at Great Price Point
Have been playing pickleball for 2 years now, initially with a starter set, then progressed to paddles in the $70 range, and then to a Baddle Lancer. As my college aged tennis player sons decided to start playing, I sent the Baddle off to college with one of them and reverted back to a Monarch Dragon Slayer we had on hand, added lead weight, and used it for awhile, until it cracked. Being on a budget (3 in college) I replaced the Monarch with an Onix Z5, which was an improvement over the Monarch, but was shown to be significantly lacking when playing against my sons and some more advanced players. While playing with that group I was offered the opportunity to play with a SelKirk Vanguard and really liked it; but, couldn't justify the expenditure in my own mind for a hobby sport. Research led me to this SLK at a price that fit my budget. Very pleased so far. I did add additional lead tape to increase power and stability to tweak the feel of the paddle. Pros (for me at least): Increased spin and easier access to top spin with my forehand. Maneuverable at the net for both defensive volleys and quickly taking advantage of attack opportunities. More power than any of my prior paddles, but not quite as much as the Vanguard I played with (note that it had been modified with more weight than I have on the SLK.) allowing for more consistent depth on serves and returns as I'm not having to attempt to generate my own power by swinging harder.

Very good paddle
Very good paddle. I needed a paddle with longer handle for my 2 hands backhand. It has power and control. I really love it!

This is my first try of an 'all court' paddle. I've been using a Joola Ben Johns Hypersion (14mm) for the past 3 yrs which I enjoyed very much. My only issue was I found it had a lot of pop and my shots would often go out of bounds. I controlled the pop using lead tapes and it worked fine. I am not a power player, (but like power on serves) but more so a control\ touch player and consider myself 'quick' at the kitchen area and agile (given my age of 77). I play against many very good players much younger then me and I can hold my own and often outplay them. The first thing I noticed with the SLK was it's balance and feel. I've only been using it for approx. 2 weeks so far. It allows great maneuverability and I'm able to place my shots much better and more frequently then the Joola. It has the right amount of pop and allows me the power I need on my serves and returns. I was considering another Joola, but as it turns out my decision to get the SLK was the best decision. I think the SLK offers me better play at a cheaper price point. In the past I've also had the Selkirk EPIC and an ONIX. By far, I find the SLK Halo PRO the better paddle for me. My only complaint is with the color combinations. I love the color of the paddle face I bought, but wish I had an option for other colors pertaining to the edge guard and grip. (ie. gray, black, even faux leather in brown. If you are wanting an all around paddle I would recommend this one.

Senior. Beginner The additional. .4” of reach at 16.4” has surprised me. Suddenly I was able to do “decent” sustained mini rallies and return with greater ease without feeling that I sacrificed forgiveness for its narrower 7.4” width shape. I was initially worried that XL swing weight of 120 may be too high compared to the Max’s 110, but the short gameplays haven’t shown up a strain yet. Haven’t had many fast dink rallies at the net either to notice any lag in manoeuvrability. In the long run perhaps the Control Max would be more suitable but the legwork with have to compensate for the shorter reach.
