Can you raise each side separately or do they raise together?

Hello! Thank you for your inquiry on the DESK-E3CTW! Both sides will raise at the same time (and height) with this desk. This is due to the sync rods being attached to the legs to allow them to turn and move the legs at the same time. Do the breaks where the desk plates connect cause any frustration? ei, are they uneven, or feel disconnected?

Of course there is a bit of a crack because they are separate desktop plates with ever so slightly rounded edges but, when installed, they are very flat and butt up together very nicely. They use a heavy duty steal plate underneath, at several points, that screw in and bring the desktop pieces together. I really like mine. It is a nice low price solution to a sit/stand desk.
