1mm Waxed Nylon Cord 20 meters, Durable Strong Thread for Jewellery Bracelet making, Art & Crafts (Blue)

This thread is great, in fact it's become my favourite repair and fixing thread. It's a flat nylon thread and after cutting you need to reflatten the edge to avoid fraying ends from stopping the thread from going through the needle eye. This is easily done by just squishing the thread end between your fingernails etc. Not a fault just a note. The thread is as mentioned nylon, which has great strength and waterproof qualities but in addition this thread also has a wax coating adding to the waterproofing effect allowing this thread to be suitable for repairs to tent and tent type materials that need to deal with the changeable weather. The strength of this particular thread, being nylon, also makes this thread perfect for use in sewing areas that deal with high movement such as making a repair to a hook and mesh tent storm flap. Other jobs where strength is important, this thread can be used to reinforce any existing machine sewing stitching especially if that stitching is either thin or cotton or both. The price is good for this length of this type of waxed thread and because it's so versatile I'll be needing more soon as I find that I'm using it for many other jobs as well as for the reason I made a purchase in the first place. Although i highly rate this product, one thing to note is that because this thread has a wax coating it can get sticky when sewing with it including around the needle eye. It's not overly gunky or particularly messy at all but it can make threading the needle a little awkward especially if the needle eye is very small. Great product.

This waxed nylon came on a sheet of laminated card, the two ends of the string seemed to be at the base of the card, one wasn't on top on the rolled thread. It was a nightmare unravelling to wrap the thread around something else. Nonetheless, the quality is very good. I bought this to replace the handle that had come off my garden waste bag. My local council charges £10 per bag in addition to the £100 garden waste collection, and you must buy bags from them. This thread has so far held strong. IF the handle comes off again, it won't be this thread that gave out.

This was EXACTLY what I wanted - after other false starts with other suppliers, this is actually what it says it is, 1mm. Waxed. Nylon. Perfect for repairing blinds in the conservatory. Seller also extremely helpful. I made the mistake of assuming it comes on a roll, but it’s actually wrapped round card, so easy to use, easy to unwind, and easy to send/keep shipping costs down.

Great product. Had bought to string beads together that were hanging wooden easter decorations. Very easy to use and great quality. Bit fiddly taking off the cardboard but overall very pleased with product. Would buy again

It’s a very expensive piece of coated thread. Too much wax to use properly.
