I used this product alongside tammarind paste to finish off healing a wound that I had nearly fully healed but couldn't quite get the top skin to form. I had nursed and applied tammarind paste and alum powder to the wound and it had nearly fully closed up, then when I used this product and tammarind paste, it had fully healed after scabbing over. Hurray, because I was trying different products to get the previously deep open wound to heal for more than three months until I used the mentioned products in order and finally I had managed to get the wound to heal. Please I had also worn bandages the whole time to stop the wound from getting infected. The trick is to put a piece of cotton bandage onto the suface of the wound and then apply a bandage. Like they do in the hospitals. I hope this helps someone. As for using it in cooking or consuming this product, it's a no no from me, it smells and tastes like bad chemicals. It's awful. I don't like it at all and I would only repeat purchase to heal a wound. I sent my back.
