I wanted to add a crackling fire sound to my new electric fireplace. This device is small and discreet yet produces realistic sound that can be widely adjusted in volume. I purchased the black unit since my e-fireplace is dark brown, and it hides out at the back of one of its shelves. The ambience of a fire is convincingly real. There are multiple recordings to choose from. Some include music which I don't prefer to use. The device comes with a USB cable and holds a charge for 10-12 hours. However, I typically use the timer setting which automatically shuts off the device after 3 hours. My unit mysteriously stopped working after 5 weeks of regular use. It was no longer producing any sounds despite being fully charged and the microSD card appearing to be intact. According to Amazon, there is a 30-day window to return this item. I was disappointed to realize that I was one week beyond this date. I found an email address for customer support in the package insert/manual. I reached out and literally had a response within a few hours. I had a very pleasant exchange with someone named Nesson. I explained the issue and without question he offered to send me a replacement. I was not asked to return the defective unit. Replacement order details were promptly emailed to me. I expect to receive a new unit in a few days. Hopefully, I'll have a better run with the next one. I felt that a 5-star review was warranted in light of this product's features and the stellar customer service that I received.

This is the perfect real sound of a lovely crackling wood-burning fireplace, with various sound options, & is perfect for those of us stuck with electric fireplaces. I can’t imagine using the fireplace without it now. It’s a MUST-HAVE! It’s small & discrete & rechargeable. It’s truly perfect.

The media could not be loaded. I can’t believe how much I love this thing! I got my electric fireplace and definitely missed the fire sounds. This machine is amazing. I hate white noise but I find this hypnotic. I charged it for a very short time when I got it and it’s been running off and on for over 10 hours on the initial charge. The different settings are hilarious. You can have fire and jazz or fire and birds lol the instructions were a bit confusing. All you have to do is turn it on. There’s a SIM card but you don’t have to touch it. Press the volume button in the middle to switch between sound options. Plus it’s very small so it can sit unnoticed next to the fireplace so the sound source seems real and it can be set quite loud to be heard in the next room. I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for fireplace sounds!

This product is really cool! I LOVE it!! It really adds a feeling of realism to my brand new electric fireplace. It's really quiet so the crackling sounds make it feel more realistic. I recommend it. I'm not sure how I feel about the Christmas music but the birds are kind of cute and would probably give you a nice feeling on a cold and barren winter day.

The media could not be loaded. I have an electric log insert that I bought to place in our wood burning fireplace. It came with its own sound box but I hated how you could totally tell it was fake and low quality due to a repeating pattern of sounds and an echoey quality. I decided to take a chance on this and figured I would return it if it sounded fake as well, but it is so realistic sounding! I love that it is rechargeable instead of using batteries like the other one. Great purchase, and now I'm buying this as a Christmas gift for some of my friends and family that have electric fireplaces!

The sound it makes works great for adding realism for my electric fireplace. The problem is that it just stops working for no apparent reason. I even contacted the seller/manufacturer by email. They didn't know why it stopped. So I got a replacement from Amazon since it was a holiday purchase and failed before the end of January. Got the replacement on January 5th. It failed yesterday (Feb 14) exactly the same way as its predecessor. I give up.

The media could not be loaded. Amazing little thing that added so much character to my electric fireplace. Realistic sound (there are 6 sound options to chose from). I originally places it on the shelf above the fireplace but you could tell the sound was coming from the speaker ( not so realistic). Then I put it on the floor under the fireplace and it is just perfect now! Also, I only charged it once and it’s been on for hours over the last few days. Still working just fine! I just ordered another one for a relative’s Christmas gift.
