Still waiting on replacement parts - update got em!
I can finally update this one. I’m increasing review to 5 stars with details to follow. They have very polite customer service members. They are slow. And apologized each time for the delay. I can’t put that all on them because honestly I just expected them to ignore the request and never respond. So pleasantly surprised. They actually responded to my follow up email. It was confusing and I thought they were sending me a label to return it. And then the next time I emailed back because they forgot or it slipped out before they sealed the package the little tiny dowels. So I had to wait another week for it. Both times the packing was superb. Guys. It blew my mind. They took care of it like they were sending it to grandma. This time I waited to get a 2nd pair of hands to help hold it steady for assembly. It’s solid. It’s sturdy. And I’m very pleased with the end result. Between the excellent service and the care taken in mailing the replacement items without making me even pay s&h? Full stars. I forgot to add pics after assembly so just showing on its planned home (another shelf). The backing piece unfolds and held together with tape tape when unfolded. I added extra tape along with the middle to help for long term. And I colored over the small gap with black permanent marker to avoid the light coming through being obvious. That is something I’ve learned over previous years of diy. It's been just over 2 weeks since this was delivered. I started assembly the weekend it was delivered. As part of the instructions, you assemble the various items in a specific order. I've include a closeup of Step 1 & 2 where you have the middle part of this bookshelf (the "H"). The steps aren't complicated, but they could use more details. The line in the "H", requires 4 wooden dowels to be connected, and those in turn to be connected to the end pieces. I cannot stress how delicate they are until its all stable. Well, at least I assume it will be stable. I'm still waiting on the replacement parts. While connecting the 2 outer edges to the dowels, the wobble factor was under anticipated. I'm embarrassed to admit that the dowels broke instantly when the 2nd one was attached, and I'd let go of the other side. Picture the attempt - trying to save one side, and the other side also becomes precariously balanced, and end up both becoming unstable. I was able to remove 2 of the broken dowels, and I might have been able to salvage the part "G", but the other side, the 2 holes are completely filled. I don't have a drill, and even if I did, I'd need the 4 replacement dowels. I'd have paid extra to have it delivered fully assembled -- why isn't that even an option? Anyhow - if you end up like me just needing something on the smaller side to help corral some desktop clutter, the feel of the parts is well cheap, but I'd think they'd be stable enough for the weight specified. The all black will hide a variety of sins. I even bought screw covers after reading in the reviews that would have been a nice touch to make it look nicer. The cons: --Pet peeve, always the directions are really light on details. And why do you have so many items to do in each step, instead of separate steps? --Well, Amazon directed me to the website product support of the manufacturer. It wasn't too difficult to fill out the lengthy questionnaire. Just be prepared, I recommend if you're on your phone, switch over to pc or laptop. --Timeframe for responses - took a week for them to respond, asking for more photos. I responded today, so guessing it will be another week for them to respond, either with another question, or a request to pay for the shipping & addtl parts. --Length of time waiting - I'm this close to throwing it all out. Waiting so long for this to be resolved is annoying. Do I salvage my time, and wait, or do I throw it out now, and buy something else for the more instant gratification? $40.00 isn't a deal breaker, but still, in this economy? You don't want to just throw it away no matter the irritation. The Pros: --The price is fine. I'd have paid more for it fully assembled. Why isn't this an option? that ANYone offers? --Items are lightweight, and as described. The material is pressed wood, so it does 'feel' cheaper when you look at it. --While I did complain about the instructions, these are better than many I've seen, in that the size of the photos could be easily viewed. --Each of the items were clearly labeled - this is something that is often missed, so kudos to the manufacturer - very neat and organized. Summary Well, this is one of those that I have to wait & update. If there isn't too much more of a delay, and the parts are replaced with only cheap fees, then I'll likely be happy and upgrade the review. For now, I'm on the fence with rating. Part of this is on me (I didn't fully understand the directions, and when it started to fall apart, overreacted when fumbling to save it, and items broke). Why can 't I go with half stars?

🏆Wonderful for the need
Bought three on a Daily Deal. This isn’t my first rodeo with pressed board shelves. Mentioning this to qualify my view via experience. Tamp expectations. Basically, this is an excellent shelf for under $25 on DD. Even at about $30 still a wonderful investment depending on the need. Pro: delivery included at no charge for Prime members. No gas or time required. Pro: appearance is 🏆 Pro: price. Not just cost but compared to OG shelves like this or big box style of similar design, this by far is the best choice Pro: kudos to the designer and company. Compared to shelves of old in this style back in the day, ya’all know what I’m talking about if your of a certain age, and above, when these affordable options were first released. They weren’t the prettiest or sturdy. Could fall over or apart if ya bump it wrong or too much weight, etc. This manufacture took those lessons. Improved the construction. For instance: Pro: easy to screw in bracket support to the base. Sides. The overall sturdiness is worth the price at a cost savings. Compared to a professional build, in my view. Pro: screw and wall anchor with bracket support included and instructions of how to install in step 9. Meaning, the top of the shelf is reinforced to maintain stability in case the cat jumps on. Pro: section on the instructions demonstrates the weight capacity of each shelf. Helping the owner manage expectations for use. Example, if you load a shelf that can handle 20 lbs with 30 pounds the expectation is this can break. Tip: cut furring strips the width of the shelf. Drill two holes in the bracket strip created. Screw a 1 1/2 in wood screw into the shelf (not a predrilled hole. Make sure to measure multiple times so each side the height in the same. This is a none movable permanent shelf support bracket on each side. The shelf can support extra weight. Keep in mind this is pressed wood. Overloading will bow the wood. A hack for this flip the board. OR, purchase a board of similar width. Cut to fit. Paint. This will make for sturdier shelves if concerned with weight restrictions. If adding a pine 1x2 board as trim in the front these would appear as regular wood. For free wood repurpose pallets. I’ve seen multiples of these style shelves from IKEA side by side for structure. The builder then used trim that made the shelves look high end. At a savings as the shelves already included the hardware, cuts, but no sacrifice to heartiness for strength or appearance. The primary structure at this price is priceless. DYIer with basic tools can enjoy any level of shelf style you’re heart desires. With or without mods. Tip: upon peeling off the two tiny stickers labeled with the letter corresponding to the part left a tiny white spot inside the walls of the sides. Black permanent marker and a few swipes, spot be gone! Overall, this shelf gets an A. Minus + due to the sticker incident :) Rehabbing a property from 1900. A friend gave me a bunch of vintage furniture. At first I was gung-ho and all about OG vibing with a touch of modern compliments. Renovations are a long process. When seeing these said yes to less stress. One is for the Fur and Fitness Room to host equipment so it’s easier to access then tucked away. The German Shepherd hangs here with his cats. Thus the name :) The other is for the bathroom upgrade. The color matches the claw tub and custom built sink. The shelves hold clear bins with supplies, extra wash clothes, spa stuff. If you need affordable well built snazzy looking shelves these could be for you. Delivered to your door step. Easy Peasy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

College living bookshelf
Functionality and appearance of the product is overall good. I've had it for a few years and it does its job well. Getting four stars because while it is functional, it is not high quality. It is a bit unstable and does not have any significant weight in the bottom when put together making it a bit wobbly. The cardboard piece for the back helps this, but nailing it in is a bit annoying and still only reduces the overall shakiness. Did not feel easy to assemble. In short, the product is what it is, a cheap bookshelf that is perfect for college living as it will serve its purpose well but you won't care if it breaks.

Super easy to build! Small damage but overall decent quality shelf.
I have never built anything in my life by myself before, but this was a breeze! Probably took me about 50 minutes to do and I was taking my time since, again, this was my first time building anything. Instructions were easy to follow. You do need your own screw driver and hammer, but everyone should have those already. I'm super happy with this shelf. I needed something that would fit under my window in my bedroom. This fit great, exactly the size I expected from the description. Storage space works for my needs. I was really glad to find that the height is adjustable for the top shelf so I could fit books in the middle. It does have two small spots of damage to the wood prior to me opening the box on the top, but it'll be covered so I'm not too worried about it. The shelf aeems sturdy and decent quality.

Also mit wenig Kraft ganz vorsichtig eindrehen.
