Q: What kind of functionality can i expect without its software? I work at a place that has strict IT restrictions and won't be able to install things.

Works out of the box, no software or driver installs required (at least on win10). However, you lose desktop view, 90 degree rotation, resolution configuration, and the ability to manually control the camera or toggle features off. I would still check with your IT team (especially if it’s going to be in a corporate office).

Q: Is this camera Windows Hello compatible for facial recognition log-on?

This camera does not have have infrared sensors, so no Windows Hello compatibility.

Q: Does this work on a mac?

Yes - I use on an M1 based MacBook Pro and works perfectly.

Q: Does this frame a group of people sitting at a table?

Sure it takes in the whole room if you want it to. It has Zoom for closeups. Fantastic camera!!
