Good doorbell camera
Purchased this as already had a couple of tapo cameras and their hub. It is good build quality, was easy to fit and set up, the phone app is easy to use and the door cam picture is nice and clear. It does detect people, but can be a little slow to wake up and care has to be taken on placement as if you have a lot of foot traffic, the camera will detect it and the battery will drain faster. I bought a spare battery and set up the perimeter in the app so the battery lasts between 2/4 months but would probably last longer if you have a longer pathway to you door or have fewer visitors! I can now see who is calling and answer the doorbell via the app on my phone to talk to the caller wherever I am, which is very useful as I have poor mobility and can't get to the door quickly. The doorbell camera can also record movement and callers, either to the hub or to the cloud. I prefer just using the hub as don't want to pay a subscription fee to the cloud service, especially as I'm in 99% of the time, but would be useful for folk who are out a lot. The only downside is the audio quality isn't great, so people can't always hear me clearly when talking but otherwise very good value for money so very happy!

A Brilliant, Reliable Video Doorbell
I’m really impressed with the Tapo video doorbell. The picture quality is clear, both during the day and at night-so I can easily see who’s at the door. Setting it up was surprisingly simple, and since it’s completely wireless, I didn’t have to deal with any complicated wiring. The battery lasts a long time, which is a big plus. I really like the instant motion alerts and the two-way audio; they make it easy to talk to delivery drivers or check what’s happening outside. The app is straightforward and works smoothly, letting me keep an eye on things even when I’m not home. Overall, it’s a reliable, easy-to-use doorbell that gives real peace of mind. Highly recommended!

Really good, easy to fit but battery going flat quicker than expected.
Easy to set up, works really well only issue is battery seems to be needing charging quickly. Picture is really good day and night

Good door cam
Replacing a wired-in Ring doorbell that was never up to the job - couldn’t hold a connection to my WiFi , this one does the business, possibly because it has a hub that is wired straight into the router. Easy to setup provided you don’t make the mistake I initially made - trying to install the doorbell on the app when what I needed to do was do the hub install first. After I did it the right way round everything connected properly. The battery charged up in a few hours and once it’s in and you have the app working it shows the percentage of battery charge so you have plenty of notice for when to swap or recharge your battery. I will be getting a spare soon so I have one ready to swap straight in. Just put a micro sd card into the hub and it formatted it straight away and now any alerts send a video clip straight to the card where it is immediately viewable from your app. So no subscription, just a one off card purchase and you’ve got storage sorted. Quality of picture and video is very good. Doorbell rings on the hub, as well as on the phone, and it also got announced on my echo dot, so a simple test push of the doorbell and I was deluged with alerts! You can turn off any you don’t want though as well as choosing the volume level for the ringer. Different noises and ringtones too if you want. Although I’ve adjusted the sensitivity of the alert zone so that it’s close to my door, it has just gone off (complete with video) of a man walking his dog past the front of my house, so I will play around with that some more. But very happy with the doorbell, works great and a relief to finally have a security cam with storage in place. I went for this one because I have got a few smart plugs and other cams from Tapo and I just find that their stuff always works well plus I like having everything on one app as well.

An excellent doorcam
This is a great smart door cam, it's the 1st I've used so can only comment on my use of this. Setting up is very easy, clear instructions on how to connect the chime to WiFi and how to connect the doorbell up. You have a choice of mounting with screws or with sticky adhesive pads which tbh the included ones arent very sticky so I used my own. Comes with a little angle wedge attachment if you want to angle the doorbell which was pretty handy. The tapo app is where all the fun is, you pair the devices to the app and you can set all sorts of chimes and volume levels. The doorbell it's self has so much features that it's too much to even get into here. The camera quality is very good for what it is, you can zoom, you can set notification sensitivity, there's ai features so can detect if someome has a parcel. You can set zones aswell for where the camera will and won't detect snd send a notification, and notifications are very responsive. You can save all data to a microsd card which is plugged into the chime and there is a subscription service aswell of you want, I'm using a 256gb microsd card. I would definitely go with a brand the manufacturer recommendeds. Included battery takes a few hours to charge to go full, i would recommend getting a spare as back up. Battery life is really dependent, if you only use for doorbell press notifications then the battery off a full charge will last a few months, but if you use all the other motion detection stuff and live where you get a lot of footfall then the battery will be less. The chime looks great and isn't massive, the doorbell itself is on the big side so make sure you check the measurements out. The devices only connect to 2.4ghz WiFi aswell so bare that in mind. All in all I think this is a great bit of kit

Battery stay for only 1 week , you need to recharge it 4 times per month
