The knife is sharp and customer service is reassuring.
Edited:Though the original scabbard has resin rendering it unusable, Dalstrong customer service reached out and sent a new replacement order right away. The new item worked perfectly. The company definitely showed great customer service and earned my trust. As far as the knife, it is definitely one of my sharpest knives. It is not a normal heavy duty chef knife that has a thick blade like the Wusthof Ikon that I could chop hard vegetables with. However the Dalstrong knife is great at slicing. It is very light similar to the knives of the Kiwi brand though retaining sharpness much longer. This is the first powered steel knife that I have purchased and won’t be the last.Original review:Leather Sheath is Unusable Due to Glue or Resin Sticking to the Knife.I like the knife scabbard that came with the knife, unfortunately it was unusable. The knife was stuck to the scabbard and was very difficult to remove. I was concerned that if I used too much force the knife would cut and damage the scabbard. In the end I was able to remove the knife, but saw a significant amount of dark resin/glue on the edge of the knife. I realized then that the glue is the reason why it was so hard to remove the knife. After fifteen minutes of carefully removing the resin from the knife with a soft sponge, there is only a small amount of resin left as shown in the picture. So I was definitely disappointed considering it is one of my most expensive knives.

The only knife brand I ever want to buy.
I cook at least 3 hours a day for my large family. I decided to spoil myself with a "fancy" knife to mitigate carpal tunnel. My first Dalstrong was the fire frost because it's just beautiful and I have t stopped buying Dalstrong knives. My kids now have a collection of the pins and magnets that come in the box. These are the only knives I can use now. They are comfortable and sharp and making cutting, chopping and slicing for hours a breeze. Each knife comes in its own leather sheath so they stay sharp. I have the fire frost, spartan and gladiator. Beware these are semi-professional knives and are sharp. I have kids in the kitchen which is why I appreciate the fact that I can put them in the sheath and away in a drawer. If you are tired of sawing food for hours while looking at ugly knives -buying everything. I have 5 and plan on buying more. Worth the money.

Couldn't be happier.
I like using these the most out of all my dalstrong blades! They're so much skinnier and finer edge, they just glide through. And with their hardness I don't have a single rough edge yet.

Too flexible not sturdy enough.
The knife is too flexible for a chef knife. It’s more of a filet knife. I’m a professional chef in a fine dining kitchen. This does not suit my needs for day to day use. I wish it was more sturdy and not flexible. It also doesn’t say flexible blade in description.
