Excellent
Really cool! Purchased for my kids for a road trip. Has too many settings to be kid friendly. However, for an adult, easy to use, loads of listening options. I love that it has radio, bluetooth and cd. Battery life is excellent! It runs for days! Definitely worth the money.

Just Adding My 2 Cents
This portable cd player is fabulous! Sounds great with my wireless Samsung galaxy earbuds, and I can see the controls even in the dark. I purchased a few different portable cd players to test (and keep for various purposes) after I recently rediscovered my music cd collection (probably about 100 or so of various albums/genres including rock, pop, new wave, alternative, techno, country, soundtracks, blues, jazz, classical, etc.). It’s hard to believe that it has been over 10 years since I listened to any of them (once I switched to digital content on Apple devices - mainly playlists of favorite singles rather than whole albums). This portable cd player is the one. My favorite. My ultimate checklist included good performance/sound for its size, quality build, back-lit controls to see in dim lighting, fm radio when the mood strikes, the ability to connect wireless Bluetooth headphones, and all for a reasonable price. This one was the most expensive, but it has met all of my wants and expectations. The equalizer settings are a bonus with the variety of music cds that I have. Controls are fairly intuitive. At least I haven’t had to resort to reading the instructions yet. It’s nice that I have the option of recording to a micro sd card though I doubt I’ll use that feature. I’m still testing battery life, but I usually don’t wait until batteries are drained to plug in my devices. I’m pretty consistent with keeping my tech charged up and ready to go. I definitely recommend this portable cd player. And I’ll be sure to update my review if my opinion changes for any reason.

Almost perfect, but …. Sigh.
I really wanted to give this player 5 stars, but cannot. First, all the good or rather very good stuff. For this 75 year old reviewer, the audio quality of this CD player is really, really very good. Whether listening on Bluetooth speakers, earbuds, headphones or on my Honda Pilot (2017) audio system, everything sounded pretty damn good to me. Plus the 7 preset equalizer modes all add beneficial tweaks to what you hear listening to different genres of music. A real plus there! Connectivity to Bluetooth was easy for all my devices. All various Bluetooth speakers and earbuds connected quickly with no issues at all. Connecting to my 2017 Honda Pilot was by auxiliary and Bluetooth. I didn’t bother with fm connection on my Honda as I wasn’t interested in doing by fm. Bluetooth connectivity on the Honda was easy after I realized the Honda setup required me to disable my phone Bluetooth first. I guess the Honda only allows one connection at a time. I was fine with that. The Bluetooth connection sounded great on the Honda. The auxiliary connection did as well also. The player also plays those “TF” cards. They’re kind of a mini SD card. I setup a 2 gb card as a test. The manual states the player supports up to a 64 gb card. I loaded on 5 different albums and a 100 song playlist. I placed each in their own separate folder, labeled by title of course, and decided to copy the music files as mp3 format at 320 kbps, for this test. Learning curve in figuring out how to choose the particular album to listen to, but I caught on fairly quick. Well, the music sounded just great to me. I couldn’t be more satisfied. So, thus far this KLIM Journey CD player is just great. It is performing flawlessly for me. I like the compact size of this player. The buttons are a good size and function well with a solid response. There is a slight learning curve understanding what they do but that’s to be expected. The buttons light up to use as well as the display window. All nice and bright. They light up long enough to accomplish what you need and turn off after awhile. Nice. Oh, I almost forgot. This player also has FM radio that I put through its paces and I was able to get quite a few stations coming in nice and strong, clear sounding! Again, learning curve, but very doable. I spent a lot of time with the manual by my side running this player through its various features. On that I will say that the manual could be a little more straightforward in explaining things and the icons should be printed twice as large for my taste, but I wouldn’t take a star away for that as everything you need to get this player up and running is there. Which brings me to where I had a reason to knock off a star in my review. The battery!! KLIM states this player will give 8 to 14 hours of battery playback. Not in my experience. The best I could achieve was 6 1/2 hours. That was accomplished by using the supplied 3.5 mm cable to connect my speaker or use plug in earbuds or headphones. Anything Bluetooth, the best I could get was 5 1/2 hours of playback before the battery drained out. I suppose 5 or 6 hours should be ok, I guess. But, when the sales point says 8 to 14 hours, I’ll be a stickler and say that one should at least be getting the 8 hours as the minimum. So, I find the battery life disappointing. On that note, I will say that I contacted KLIM and they agreed that the battery should be performing better and they sent me another unit within a few days. They were very responsive and very nice to chat with. Unfortunately, the second player has performed the same as the first. The battery just can’t seem to give me any better than 6 1/2 hours of playback. At the price point of this player I will keep it as I really like the quality audio sound this player produces. It is well built and extremely compact and easily portable. KLIM did not require me to return the first unit, so actually I at least will get 14 hours of playback by continually swapping between the 2 units every 5 or 6 hours as the battery drains out. Fair enough! I do recommend the KLIM Journey CD player. Highly recommend. Just be aware that the battery may or may not deliver the 8 to 14 hours of playback . The player audio sounds better than any portable CD player I’ve owned previously. This players’ anti-skipping technology was great, I didn’t experience any skipping during playback at all. In closing I will say again that the tech support at KLIM was top notch and responded in reasonable time frame. I give them 5 stars for their customer support!

This KLIM Journey is a Fantastic Product
Delivery was very fast & arrived on 3/30/2025 in new, unopened, undamaged manufacturer's packaging. Sound is acceptable with my Sony earphones and Sony headphones (seem better than supplied earphones to me - especially for fit). Equalizer has a very good selection of choices that improve sound from earphones or car radio. Happily, BT paired seamlessly to my 2019 Ranger Lariat & 2021 Honda CR-V Touring. Just start the player pairing process. Then, start the car's pairing process for a new device for them to find each other. The KLIM does display the car's name on the unit's LCD screen to select. Once paired, exit back to the car radio and select BT as the source & KLIM as the device. I did this the 1st time with my phone turned off to save the KLIM unit in the car's BT device list. The FM transmitter to play CDs thru car radio worked except 79.3 is too low on the car radio dial & 93.6 does not end in an odd decimal number. The FM radio on KLIM Journey works fine with tune or search features. The KLIM unit keeps playing a CD when plugged into a charger. I used an old phone charger/power supply to keep the amps closer to 1.0. Haven't tried a TF/SD card for play or record yet. I didn't buy this player for those functions. But, it is amazing that they are available. I love this product so far and hope it lasts a long time (so long as I don't drop it of course). The quality and features are fantastic in this price range and has highly positive reviews.

It's okay
Things I like: The buttons are all easily accessible Build quality is solid LCD screen is bright and easy to read Preset EQ levels are good Sound quality is pretty good Plenty of connection options for external speakers KLIM offers replacement parts on their website Included case and earbuds nice bonus I played CD'S from three different decades including some new remasters and had no issues with compatibility. Things I don't like: All of the buttons are backlit on the player, but the DIR, EQ, PROG FM-, and MODE FM+ are not lit evenly with the top and bottom of labels are slightly cut off and not fully illuminated. This is disappointing considering the players price. I am not getting anywhere near around 14 hours of battery life, playing only CD's I am getting just under 8 hours, which is acceptable. You could probably get around 14 hours just using the radio and mp3 player at medium volume. The player has randomly shut off three times on me while playing a CD, I typically listen to albums from beginning to end, and the player has shut off halfway through the last song on three different albums. When I hit play and restart the track, there is no issue. The player might have an automatic shut off function after an hour, not sure. The Radio works fine with wired headphones using the input jack with the radio label, but when I tried to use an external XHDATA antenna I would lose sound in the right channel with my headphones plugged into the standard jack. There are no audio issues when two sets of headphones are plugged in, so I guess if you have another pair of headphones lying around you can just use those as an external antenna.

THIS IS ONE OF (If not) THE BEST CD PLAYER ON THE MARKET!
I have this portable CD Players: Sony D-EJ360 PSYC (2002), ONN CD Player (2020), HOTT CD611T (2021) and KLIM Nomad (2022). This is the BEST unit so far. The sound quality with the other additions, make this the best unit I owned so far. Compared with the KLIM Nomad, this one is very close in quality terms. THESE ARE THE NEW ADDITIONS: - It has different EQ profiles than the Nomad that provide greater versatility with different headphones or speakers. - The Bluetooth sound quality is MUCH better than the Nomad. I repeat; exceptionally BETTER! The audio fidelity Is very close to the headphone output signal or the bluetooth signal of my iPhone 13. THIS CD PLAYER ALSO PROVIDES THESE GREAT TOOLS FOR MUSICIANS OR ENTHUSIAST: - It lets you loop a passage from the track (A to B), that will repeat indefinitely. - It lets you decrease the tempo and pitch of the song, so you can transcript any part you want, sing it in another Key, or just enjoy a slower version of the song. And the fidelity is very good. - It lets you record to the micro-SD cart anything that you play from the CD (or the FM radio), with good quality! (MP3, 160 kbs). You can also buy another FM transmitter, so you can connect anything to it, to record it. MORE PROS: - Some radio stations offers texts info from the songs that are playing! - You can find replacement parts online, so you can fix the unit in the years to come ( battery and the Laser drive ). The parts have serial numbers that let you identify them. CONS: - Compared to the KLIM Nomad, the headphone gain is slightly lower (This doesn't apply to the FM output or Bluetooth signal, which has more gain. - The FM transmitter ONLY lets you transmit to five assigned stations. This is a drag, since the transmitter has problems if there's stronger signals from other FM stations in your area. In my area, all of them are taken by others, strong signals. Feedback to KLIM In my opinion, this is the best CD player I ever bought. Is closer to perfection! But in order to create the perfect unit, just raise a little bit the gain on the headphone output, and let the user select the FM Stations that he wants to transmit the signal. Also, having access to the AM radio will not hurt either!

Good quality for VGM listening pleasure
I was looking for a quality CD player for VGM soundtracks I collect, and came across this product. It was quite expensive, but I had my eye on this, until I decided to purchase, and it arrived in a few days. The CD player contains a case and some cords for charging and an aux cord. I intended to use Bluetooth (AirPods 1st gen) on it, but I had trouble at first. Once I figured out what I did wrong (which I had switch the hold to "on" and needed to switch back to off), I was able to connect to Bluetooth after searching a few times. That's when I know it had worked as I intended. Note: the switch at the bottom, labeled hold, when switched on, prevents any interruptions or skips with the music currently playing from pushing any buttons. As for the sound quality of the CD player, it is very clear and it makes for an immersive listening experience. I was able to play VGM OSTs such as Stardew Valley and Japanese imported VGM OSTs (I listened to Atelier vocal albums, in this case). Of course, this will play song albums. I assume this CD player can also play audiobook cds or Japanese drama CDs, but I shall update this information once I can confirm it works (when I have one to try). Overall, this product is very good quality, and I foresee a lot of listening to VGM with this CD player. update (10/9/23): I do not listen to the CD player very often, but it still works. it can play Japanese drama CDs. However, it does not [seem to] read burned CD-R discs like custom playlist. forgot to mention: The product I received has minor imperfection that is quite visible at the edge of the bottom screen when turned on (you have to look closely), but it does not affect the performance of product. Another imperfect I noticed is in the lens that reads the cd, and it has some slight bumps, but again, it does affect the functionality of the product.

Skip protection not as advertised
This CD player has good sound quality, even with the included earbuds, but its skip protection is not as advertised. I reported an issue with the first one I received, to which a replacement was sent, but the replacement is doing the exact same thing where the ASP indicator on the display blinks indefinitely while playing and never stays solid, which indicates skip protection is passed the buffering stage. Even walking at a slow pace down the street with it inside the case on my belt triggers skips to the point where it isn't usable. I recommend using this player in a home setting or maybe in a car that isn't hitting a bunch of bumps. I also think the display is "busy" and could be drastically simplified. I'd like the current track number to be displayed more prominently, but its very small font that is difficult to spot. I haven't tested the recording functionality. The radio works pretty well too. I also wish it would remember my EQ setting from the last power cycle. It plays MP3 cds well also. Bluetooth pairs well to some speakers I have. I also like the on/off switch and the USB-C charging interface.
