Best Fast Draining Soil
This is my go to soil mix to add to my potting soil for plants that need fast draining soil.

Great Soil!!
3rd time purchasing this. I tend to add a bit more sand, soil or akadama to the mix, depending on the tree vs my climate, but this stuffdrains well as is... My trees do really well with this soil. Will be my go to going forward!

Drains really well.
I like the natural appearance of the product the fact that it drains really well and it was easy to exchange it for the old soil

Great mix for most of general bonsai plants
I really like the mixture of this Soil. And the best part is the sizes it comes in. The price is very competitive but worth it in my estimate. My only wish is that the mixture be “SIFTED” before being packaged. I sift the mixture before I put it onto my trees, ands I am totally surprised by how much fine dirt is in the bag…

Poor quality mix - not what is shown
The picture does not match what you receive. The product received is MOSTLY pine bark. Not a mix as shown. Should be minimal pines Otherwise will muck up too much and retain moisture. Poor quality.

Not ready to use
This is supposed to be "ready to use" bonsai soil. It is not. The pine bark is too large for most applications, especially if your trees are young, and still training. There is way too little aggregate (various grit and small rocks) and way too much bark andthebark is much to big. The various aggregate is too large for most applications. This soil will need to be amended to be useful as a bonsai soil. Otherwise, it will dry out very quickly, and will NOT retain enough moisture for most applications unless you can be available to water frequently during the summer. I cannot recommend this as a bonsai soil on it's own. I will now have to sort out the large pieces of bark and replace it with better materials. It needs other material to be useful. I can see this being useful as an additive to soil for garden trees or maybe bush plantings to get better drainage. But not as a bonsai soil.
