Good fit, good workmanship. Recommended.
I'm 6 feet tall, 208 lbs., 38-in. waist - - no Olympian, to be sure. But I have good legs. :-)Regardless, big riders need good gear, too, and these are nicely made shorts (XXL) at a fair and competitive price. I like that they're made in the USA. My day-one observations are that the seams are very well stitched - - tight, with no loose threads and no fabric puckering. Material is slick and strong as I would expect from any good shorts. I use pants liners with fairly thick seat padding, so I prefer that the outer shorts have padding that is less bulky. These meet that description. The waistband does not easily roll over and the crotch fit is good.Fit on the thighs and at the leg bands was the way I like it - - snug. If I get down to 200 lbs. in the near future, they'll fit even better, I'm thinking. First ride in these shorts (with liner) was comfortable. I've spent three times as much for pants I liked less. For the price, try a pair.

I love that these are made in the USA
I love that these are made in the USA. These are my first foray into bike shorts, so I don't really have a frame of reference. With that being said, these pants are very comfy and the padding is just right and much appreciated for the longer rides I've been taking. Size seems perfect for me - I am 5'8" - 155lbs - 32W and I ordered a medium.I docked these 1 star because the material at the bottom of the pant leg is a little rough. It's an elastic material so the leg doesn't ride up. It hasn't been a problem yet on my hour-long rides, but I could see it becoming uncomfortable if you're riding longer durations.

Overall great value
For the price I paid, I'm happy. The product seems to be well constructed and solid. My only problem is that I got the XL and I should have gotten the Large. I based my decision on all of the other reviews on here saying that they seem to run small. I would disagree. I would normally wear a large athletic or running short and its no different here. I'm 6'2", 190 lbs and I have a 34" inseam. THe shorts come down to about 2" - 3" above my knee. The problem area is in the padding throughout the groin. The shorts are too big so there is some bunching happening. If I had gotten the large, I think they would be ideal.

Good afordable shorts
As advised by fellow reviewer i ordered a size larger. i.e., XL instead of L. However, its just a bit large, but i'm not sure if a L would fit me then. I think the XL is a bit large & L would be a bit small for me.When I 1st received this product i was not impressed the quality seemed low since I'm using "Pearl iZUMi Men's Quest Cycling Short,Black,Large" - which is double the price but its a great short. But after wearing it once the short looks good, not issues whatsoever. Only thing to look out for might be how durable it is or how long will it last!

Wow, seriously wow for the price
I was torn whether to give this 4 stars or 5. Brand new, the fabric "squeaked" a bit, and the edges of the bad are not as smooth as they could be, and the pad is on the smaller size. But seriously, padded bike shorts for $25??!?!?!?After 2 washes, the fabric stopped squeaking, and the pad edges have softened. I'm using these only for training on a spinning bike, and they're PERFECT for that use, as far as I'm concerned. The pad is smaller than my other bike shorts, but they do cover the saddle completely, and no there's no rubbing/chafing issues. Are they as good as a pair of "name brand" shorts? Almost, yeah. And for $25? Seriously, wow. I'm buying another pair or 2 to use for my spinning bike rotation, and I'll try them outdoors in spring.

Mens basic bike shorts, trust the size chart.
This is my second pair of shorts. The first pair is a large as I couldn't believe I was an x-large at 36" waist. They worked good enough to get a second pair. I decided to trust the sizing chart and I like the fit of the pad better. I only gave it 4 stars because I have started going on longer rides, (20-30 miles) and noticed chaffing on edge of pad on hot days. The pants have allowed me to ride longer so to early to tell if this is normal or I'm a baby. Training for long tour this summer and I will probably get another pair.

Good value cycling shorts
I am pleased with these shorts. Although the padding seems bulky when I put the shorts on, the bulkiness does not interfere with my riding, and the padding does its job when I am on the bike. The shorts are slipperier on the saddle than I am used to, but this may have the advantage of reducing riding friction. I say these shorts are somewhat small because my waist is close to 34" and the XL 36"-38" shorts fit me fine. My only complaint is that the padding is not as comfortable inside as chamois. Overall, however, I am glad I bought these shorts, and would recommend them for the price.

Great Value!
Well constructed from quality materials. Comfortable and the Medium size is a good fit for me (5'-8", 140 lbs., cyclist's thighs). I have had cycling shorts that were more slightly more comfortable and made of a more supple material, but they were 4 to 5 times the price. These are high quality and a really good value. The fact that they are made in the USA was a pleasant surprise. Would buy again.
