I don’t know how I went with out these for so long. I’m over 50 and do a lot of picture framing with dowels.

Worked well for what I needed

ok - point a pretty dull have to put a lot of pressure to see any marks & then they are slightly off

I didn't get 4 * 40 pieces, nor were they sized appropriately for fractional inch size dowel pins. 1/4", 5/16" and 1/2" were undersized, 3/8" was oversized and seems pretty clearly to actually be a metric sized set. Well even if that is the case, when measured with calipers, they are kind of all over the place, so IF that's true, it still a poor quality set regardless. Of the 10 pieces that "1/2" (actually 12mm?), one of them is radically different in size. Soooo, call it a metric set as it appears to be and even with that, don't expect it to accurately transfer your hole location(s). 1/4" measured .226-.228 5/16" measured .306-.307 3/8" measured .385-.388 1/2" measured .464-.467 with one at .473

I had multiple identicle setups to make. I used a board as a template with several of these in place. All I had to do was line my template up and whack it with a hammer. These saved me from tedious measurements on each layout.

They are sharp but I doubt on the sizes as they fell off when flipped.

The 3/8th pins are actually 25/64ths which makes them useless. They don’t fit 3/8th holes so it’s not functional.
