the cable on my old adaptor snapped so I was happy to upgrade from having a lock on my basket to having a locked . basket. Just note that the fitting is a bit fiddly though and you need pliers to really pull the cable through before tightening it, or the basket will slide down when weighted. If you use pliers to really load tension on the cable, it's very stable. And now no more stolen baskets or padlocks hanging around the brake wires!

Arrived quickly from Amazon themselves but description is wrong - does not have locking facility. Will be returned. Otherwise, looks to be a decent solid handlebar mount.

Fitted it onto my bicycle tightened it up as much as I could. Clipped my basket on. However when I put some shopping into the basket it did not seem to be tight enough and the basket slipped down. My husband put some pieces of rubber with the fixing to hold it tighter and it is now nice and secure.

What a good idea! Am delighted with this bracket - and in this day and age, unfortunately, very much needed item. Very clever. Was an exceedingly well received gift! Am looking to get one for the mobility scooter too!

Together with my Reisenthel bike basket this is fab. It holds quite some weight and is v easy to use. Click in click out.

You definitely need this lock!

I have to say, I very much like universal equipment and this adaptor is a clear example of it. The installation was seamless. I have not noticed any disadvantages so far (using it for over a month). Maybe the carrying capacity of 7kg might seem not much, I would say it is sufficient.
