Game changer!
Excellent product! My cats drink so much more water now it’s crazy. Battery life has lasted over two weeks so far after being fully charged. The filters are easy to replace, affordable, and the pump is easy to clean as well. I do both every two weeks. It’s very quiet even when plugged in/charging. When not, it’s totally silent until your cat triggers the motion feature and the fountain comes on for 10 seconds then shuts back off. Size is a good amount of water but if you have more than one cat, get two or even three. I’m not sure why there are bad reviews for functionality. As long as you replace filters and clean pump and reservoir every two weeks, it should be good to go. Contact Pet Libro if you get a lemon. I love these and highly recommend.

Solid performance
I’m going to be honest, I didn’t think I was going to like this fountain, but the wireless pump drew me in enough to try it. I’ve had numerous fountains - different brands, different materials - over the past 10 years. Some were more expensive than this one, some were less expensive. So, as I write this review, I’m using the experiences I’ve had with ALL of those fountains for my comparison, and I’ve had the PetLibro for about 2 months now. FIRST: Set up - The set up of this fountain is SUPER simple. The instructions are clear, but you really don’t even need them. Everything is intuitive, and the fountain really only fits together one way. You can’t even put the motor in backwards thanks to the notched design that makes it fit neatly in the bowl. SECOND: Operation - Full disclosure, I’ve only used the constantly on function, so I can only speak to that. It stays plugged in, so I don’t use the cordless function, though I do like that it’s an option. The water flow is excellent, and it is very quiet. The lack of a window to monitor water level is what kept me from purchasing this sooner. I didn’t think the the red light that notifies you when the water level is low would be noticeable enough, but it really is. And surprisingly, the motor shut off when the level is too low actually works. When operating, the fountain is VERY quiet. I don’t hear any motor sound at all, and very little water sound. Refilling is quite simple - you can remove the bowl from the base, remove the top and fill it per the instructions. I know the instructions say not to just top off the water by adding from the top, but honestly, as long as you don’t overfill, I don’t see why you can’t do that in a pinch. I have four small dogs, so we have to refill at least once a day, and it doesn’t need to be rinsed out every day, so I do sometimes just top off. THIRD - and this is the kicker - CLEANING: The one thing that has always been painful about pet fountains for me is the cleaning. The taking apart and putting back together. We have always had at least two fountains, and with some of the fountains we’ve had, cleaning them was a chore. Lots of parts to take apart, clean, replace the filter and put back together. This fountain is SO easy to clean. Fewer parts, easy to put back together, and because of the wireless motor, so much easier to clean without worrying about the power end of a cord getting wet while you’re struggling to take the motor apart for cleaning. This fountain cuts the cleaning time in half at least, and because of the ease of cleaning, I’ve been much better about cleaning more frequently (every two weeks as recommended). For some reason, this fountain also doesn’t seem to get as gross as other fountains I’ve had get. FOURTH - Expense - The replacement filters for this are no more expensive than the filters for other fountains, and you can get them auto shipped, which is nice so you don’t run out or have to remember to re-order. They are smaller than most of the other fountains filters I’ve used as well. I’ve been surprisingly impressed with this fountain, and have replaced two of my three fountains with the PetLibro so far. When that third (least used) fountain dies, it will be replaced with a PetLibro.

BUY THIS. You and your kitties won’t regret it.
Love this fountain! I’ve had one for over a year now, nervous to write a review until I made it through a major milestone. Mine is functioning as though it were new and I’ve now purchased one as a gift for my father’s newest family member. First — it is completely silent. The manufacturer clearly considered this in every aspect of design and it shows. It is super stable, easily movable, and all of the kitties love the fresh water, adjusting to the system immediately. I foster kitties so lots of little whiskers have given their opinions over the last year and some have been very clear — refusing to drink from anything else even though a bowl is always available. I love that it’s chargeable and therefore you can put it virtually anywhere around the house. A charge lasts me about 4-6 weeks and I change the filter whenever I charge the unit. I normally top up the water once every 7-10 days making this exceptionally easy to maintain for the ever-busy lifestyle. If you live in an area with hard water, I *strongly* recommend using distilled or other filtered/bottled water to extend appliance life and eliminate or reduce mineral deposits. My dad uses tap water from the refrigerator door and he is changing his filter weekly and cleaning the overall unit much more often than I need to. Fortunately the stainless steel bowl is super easy to clean and much more hygienic than plastic and other materials.

Designed incredibly well. So easy to clean. Quiet. Works perfectly.
I can not express how incredibly smart the design on this is. The pieces completly come apart, even the pump, so you can clean every piece and get into the cracks. The tank is curver so it is so easy to scrub clean. The motor is entirely magnet based, so the turbine comes our for cleaning and there are no wires on the inside. The only wire is for the base, which is competly disconnected from the unit so all you have to do is pick it up and take it to the sink. The replacement filter packs come with a perfectly sized scrub brush in each package and get into every crack and crevice. It is QUIET like you wouldn't believe. The locking mechanisms on the side prevent spillage when moving it. I would gush about the technicalities of the design of this product forever. I love it. My cats love it. Whoever made this has cleaned cat fountains before and got it all right when fixing the common problems when they made this.

Best cat fountain - but with minor flaws
This is the best fountain we have owned. It’s very quiet and really easy to clean. Other fountains tend to have cracks and crevices where gunk builds up - this one does not. The capacity is good - it lasts about one week for our two cats. So once a week I give it a quick clean and fill it back up - easy peasy. Minus one star for two reasons: 1) it randomly turns off and on sometimes, even though there’s plenty of water in it. 2) the replacement black foam filters (not the main filter) are too small and don’t stay seated (they float when water is added). I had to rinse the original filter and stick it back in. Neither of these issues are dealbreakers and overall the fountain exceeds my expectations.

Out of the many water fountains I’ve owned for my cats, this one was the best
Works incredibly well compared to the $20-$40 fountains out there, my cats have never drank more than with this fountain Cleaning is so simple, I couldn’t believe the motor was wireless, and the charging dock is pretty awesome. I rarely leave reviews, but this really helped my cats drink more, and because of that I give it 5 stars Also cleaning and maintenance is so much easier than my old fountains for them. It’s also super durable. Looks really nice too. 100% recommend

Super Easy to Clean!
This is, by far, the best cat water fountain I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned at least 6 different fountains over the past 10 years. It is extremely easy to set up, easy to fill, and easy to add water. It’s also very quiet and was the first water fountain that did not scare my black scaredy cat who’s afraid of her own shadow. It’s also ridiculously easy to clean! It took me less than 5 minutes to disassemble and clean the well, pump, and stainless steel water tray. I was done before the new water filter was done soaking in water (the manufacturer recommends soaking the filter in water for 5 minutes, followed by rinsing for 30 seconds). The manufacturer recommends completely cleaning the entire fountain and pump every two weeks. This will be an easy schedule to stick to because of the ease of cleaning the entire unit. In the past, I dreaded cleaning our water fountains because they weren’t easy to clean. This fountain was designed to have no 90° walls or corners that are hard to clean and get any and all gunk out of. The pump comes apart completely and easily for easy and convenient cleaning. Everything goes back together quickly and is ready for the new filter in a snap. The manufacturer claims that you should only have to fill the fountain once every two weeks, but we have three very thirsty cats, so I refill it every couple of days. It would probably last the two weeks if it was used by only one cat. The base has a battery strength indicator, which is helpful if you keep the fountain in a spot that doesn’t have access to an electrical outlet. Otherwise, it simply indicates that the power is on and the battery is fully charged. There is also an indicator that lights up if the fountain needs more water added. If you’re on the fence on whether or not to buy this pump, know that it’s truly worth every penny. The ease of cleaning the entire fountain is enough for me to buy this one again and again (we all know that fountains don’t last forever)… but this one may just be the one that does last forever.

NEEDS A BIGGER BATTERY BUT OTHERWISE GREAT!
After years of owning cats, I swear they have a sixth sense about anything that is marketed specifically "for cats" and will promptly reject it! So I wasn't sure if I'd be shipping this "cat fountain" promptly back to Amazon, but.... success! Our Napoleon happily drinks from it! I found the fountain to mostly live up to its description: incredibly quiet, reliable, super easy to clean and refill and, dare I say, sleek and stylish-at least for a cat fountain. Where it falters is in the battery life--I'm getting less than two weeks instead of the estimated month. Here's the issue: to conserve battery life, the fountain starts flowing for 45 seconds whenever it senses something near it AND once per hour, regardless, so the water never stagnates. However, if your cat's water is in an area that you walk by frequently, then the fountain will flow EVERY time you pass by it, using up battery life much more quickly. Apartment dwellers often don't have much choice in where they position things, so keep that in mind. A light on the front of the fountain will glow red when the battery needs to be recharged soon, so you don't have to guess or wait til the fountain stops working. However, even with much less battery life than I expected, this fountain is a keeper... but they should consider doubling the battery size for future models. Suggested tip: when you first get the fountain, you have to plug it in to charge it, and the fountain runs continuously while it's charging. I waited a week before I unplugged, even though it had fully charged in less than a day, so that my cat would see this as his new water source. Now he has learned that the fountain will start flowing when he gets close to it. (And if you have an outlet near the fountain, you can also leave it plugged in and flowing full time if you wish. I don't have that option.) A couple of final notes: keeping the water clean requires the changing of two custom filters every two weeks. This is a snap to do, but the cost for 4 months worth of filters is currently about $30 on Amazon. So consummables for this fountain will run you about $90 per year. Third party filter brands are cheaper, but hard to know if they will provide the same level of filtration as OEM, and I'm not going to take a chance with my cat's water supply to save a few bucks. Also: I've read some reviews that complain about leaking and I don't see how that's possible. The tank is a solid piece of plastic and unless it has been cracked, there's no way it can leak. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and I hope you find it helpful in making a buying decision.
