It is not hard to imagine a scenario like this. Who among the current elite and powerful would not be tempted by this power.

I completely enjoyed previous novels. This one went into the AI realm, which I don’t understand much, at all. However, the human characters were alive and well done. There was also a threat, overcome by intelligent operatives, in a dramatic way. I enjoyed the time in the AI world.

With close to 45 years of IT background and understanding of AI, this novel strikes in me a timely and realistic chord. Unable to put down this book.

Its just too much. Of course the book is well written by two excellent authors,however, none of the characters made me want to know more about them nor AI content. So sorry, but I won't be reading subsequent books in the series.

Could a book be any more timely than 'The Sandbox'? This book is a fascinating look at a worse case scenario when AI is fully integrated into the home of a leading developer and proponent of its expansion. Add to that goal, a desire by a military interest to harness the technology for their purposes. What could go wrong, right? Read this book before you sign up for an implant or an AI autonomous home. The audible performance is a great companion if you hate putting a book down. - Mr.Bill

A very relevant & current story. It’s innovative, clever & enthralling in equal measure. Well written with a very engaging storyline. Outstanding!

Whenever I'm in a reading slump, I have a few go-to authors to get me out of it. Andrews & Wilson are two of those authors. This book is a terrifying prediction of where things are likely headed with the research and development of artificial intelligence. Valerie Marks, Abe Winter, and Heath Garrett attempt to work together to take down the first sentient AI, against all odds and even worse real and virtual defenses. The prose is A1, the action sequences are top-notch, and the themes are clear as day for anyone bold enough to look.

A great explanation of the current and future promise of over-dependence and possible future of artificial intelligence that was depicted and explained in the theme of this literary masterpiece by these two outstanding and followed authors. A recent political cartoon by an award-winning cartoonist showed a clerk in the Unemployment Office being replaced by an AI Notebook at a simple kiosk in lieu of a warm body to start and share the painful process. Our future in AI is what we make it and, of course, following the money train dictates where we are headed.

Began brilliantly but towards 2nd half the story just doesn't move and too many references to Greek mythology and fantasy tends to lend disbelief. Unlike their espionage and war books this is a letdown.

I have been a super fan of Andrew’s & Wilson from the beginning reading every one of their novel individually and collectively authored. How these two new releases have raised the bar above the ordinary. Both look at future or maybe current developing technology and its impact on our society. Amid a cast of new Intrepid characters both these new series are a feast for the avid reader. Looking g forward to the next books in the series
