Provided current interruption and passing as designed
This device operates as expected. It opens the circuit when the button is depressed. Allows current to pass when the button is released. The included screws were useful with mounting this device.

Excellent Door Switch
I am an electrician for over 30 years and was a bit hesitant to purchase this switch based on the few negative reviews, however I must say this product is excellent for a door switch and my opinion is most of the negative reviews are from persons who are clueless about the installation of electrical products.

Worked fine, not sure if they're code compliant though
Worked great for me. Probably not code-compliant, but this isn't something you'd put in a new build, more for an afterthought. The wire insertion points have screws that do lock in really well, I don't expect a hot wire could come loose. I did as good an install as possible (borescope camera, ran Romex in the walls, used a proper old-work box fr the fixture), but you'll probably be stapling wire to the wall or trim as you get near the switch. They're near-invisible though and mount inside the closet, they don't really stand out. I still get surprised when I open the door and a light comes on...

Spring is pretty stong so you need a heavy door or magnetic closure.
This switch spring is too strong for our use but I am sure I can find another use for these. I couldn't see a way to open the switch and cut the spring back or lighten its motion.

Works as intendid
Quality and functions good. Fits perfectly. Appearance doesn't matter since located internally. Can be located anywhere for any type of light.

Wrong polarity
No matter which way I have the wires, the light turn on when the switch is pressed in. And off when I release the switch. Don’t see a way to open the switch reverse the polarity
