Am-Tech S8135 COB LED Mini Worklight, 3 W

Very bright and has a useful hook. Even came with with battery.

A brilliant (sorry) device with which I cannot find fault. For working in the darker recesses of my car's engine bay this is an excellent light because it can be hung by its built in hook, stuck to suitable surfaces by its magnet, or, when working underneath the car, carefully positioned by adjusting the fold out and rotating hook to rest at a suitable angle on the floor. And no cables to slow you down or get in the way. Also well priced to give as gifts. Very probably capable of good domestic use too, although my Amtech is kept permanently with my car.

I have had one of these for a couple of months now, and just bought a stack more as Xmas gifts. Honestly, you won't believe how bright this lamp is, especially considering it runs on 4 x AA batteries (supplied). 5W is as bright as a typical GU10 downlighter like you might have in your kitchen - but in a hand torch!The construction appears pretty robust; certainly I have had no problems. There is a useful fold-out hook in the top that's a good size for hanging it from door handles or wardrobe rails, and a less-useful magnet on the back. To give you an idea of size, you can easily wrap your hand around the bottom half of the lamp. It's also very light, unlike powerful torches of old.Despite the styling and rubberised switch on the front, it's not waterproof. I'd not worry, though, taking it out in the rain. Especially not for less than a fiver. Highly recommended.

Recently found out about the COB LED type of light which gives a nice wide beam so decided to buy this lightFor the price it is great , giving nice bright illumination with wide coverage.Don't look directly at the beam!It is far superior to the older multi row bulb type of LED lamp and I am pleased with my purchase

These are really nice LED torch/lights - shine well and convenient with hanging hook and magnet incorporated - only comment on/off switch a little stiff to press but secure

Good brightness and field of illumination. My only gripe is the magnet could be stronger and bigger, but still good for most purposes.
