This is so cool. The paper is old and makes it look like it's weathered. My daughter loves it.

My daughter was not only in love with the cover of this book and the feel and look of the cover - but the way her art materials felt and looked on the pages.This is her NEW FAVORITE art book.I love the fact that this will look EVEN better the more she uses it.

Bought this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. The journal was beautiful. Pages are thick and good quality, cover is beautiful, clasp is heavy duty. Expectations for most amazon purchases are not high...this was a keeper!

The cover looked same as pictured but there was a smell that made me not want to use it. Also the cover was very thin and not stable, felt like it will rip off very easily. I have purchased other diaries from Amazon but was looking for a unique cover. Im just going to return to my original vendor .

Needed a book of spells to semi-scrapbook with, and loving it so far. Little bit of a weird smell when it's new, but I just drip essential oils or colognes onto the pages and it works like a charm.

Just the size I was looking for…huge! I understand why two latches, but would have preferred one big bold one…not a deal breaker though. The pages are rough, yellowed and fibrous…as my grandchildren exclaimed…”it’s like a pirate map!” Brings the vibe I was looking for to the table. Perfect for my grimoire.

I got this journal to use to compile information about herbs. Its nature-oriented cover drew me to it when I saw it on Amazon "Inspire." And in person, the cover is just beautiful. It's slightly weathered-looking which just adds to its charm. I haven't started writing in it yet so I can't review the paper. The pages ARE somewhat dark, but not too dark to write on. I love this journal!

First I’ll address the picture, second I’ll address THE SMELL.1. I ordered the largest size of this book, the 13x10. I wasn’t expecting real leather or anything, I was expecting the back and cover to at least be in focus. I’m assuming because it’s the largest size that they just enlarged and printed the same picture as the smaller sized books. It’s blurry to the point that when I first opened it, I thought my eyes were unfocused.2. What the heck is going on with the smell of this book? I can’t speak for others who’ve ordered it but mine smells VERY strongly of mildew. I’ve checked every page and haven’t spotted any mold but the smell is awful. I’m assuming/hoping that maybe it has something to do with how the paper was made or processed but holy wow does it smell terrible. I’m going to leave it open outside in fresh air to see if it dissipates and I hope it does.All in all I’m not completely disappointed, the paper inside seems to be a good sturdy quality and it does seem to be bound well, it’s sturdy enough. If I can get the smell off it, I’ll enjoy using it. I wouldn’t pay $40 dollars again for this though. The cover is blurry and it stinks.
