I am busy building a new loft hatch, the door itself is fairly heavy at 4.5kg, I wanted a simple push mechanism to secure the door in place when it's shut. I ended up installing two of these, one on either side of the door edge. They were very easy to install and secure in place and they're doing a great job in holding the hatch shut. It's also really easy for me to open and close the hatch, I just need to push it upwards slightly and it opens, and it closes reliably too. Two is probably overkill for the hatch, as when measuring the unsupported weight of the one side of the hatch it was 2.7kg and these are meant to be good for 4kg, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Replacement part, same screw holes as previous one so was an easy transition, just a bit fiddly but that’s more because of where it is in our campervan rather than the product. Works as it should and hoping I won’t have to replace again in a hurry.

Stronger than expected as it is looks really flimsy when I first received. Did the job i wanted it to, fingers crossed It lasts.

We had a cupboard with a slightly warped door that the magnetic catch could no longer hold. Replaced the catch with one of these. At first glance being plastic I doubted it would be up to the job. However, as other reviewers have said these are stronger than you might think. We now have a door that shuts properly and opens easily.

Great little catch for a hidden type door or opening. Simply push and it releases.

Bit fiddly to fit but does the job very well.

We have a heavy door from inside our house into our garage. It's on an automatic close mechanism, which can be a pain if you've got hands full of stuff. This is surprisingly good at keeping the door open - simple press to let it close again. Took a bit of care to mount the button on the door and the catch on a wooden block attached to the garage wall - needs to line up perfectly. The catch looks a bit flimsy to hold the weight BUT it's done it fine so far. Great bit of kit!
