Hubby liks
We played this game at the senior center and liked it. It is a take-off of the match game we played as kids, where you have to match the colors. Hubby's mild stroke has helped him with memory. Kids of any age can play this game. It does have small pieces, so smaller children need supervision.

It's pretty fun.
So, there's some one star reviews about accusing that the product isn't new because of how it's packaged inside? Or that there are no directions?Well ... I definitely think the product is new. Yes, the pieces are in a ziplock bag inside but not a sandwich bag. There are no instructions but after I just made up rules for my 8 year old and played the game with him ... I came back to Amazon and read the description and saw the rules I made were spot on.It's a fun game for my son (8 years old). I bought it in hopes to keep him busy at restaurants intead of glued to the screen, but I fear the pieces (small) and the dice ... very bouncy ... possibly will get lost at a restaurant and I'll never know until I get home to play it again.I think if there was some way to make sure the pieces were secured in the holes so that it could be put away as so ensuring that all the pieces were there, it would make for a perfect score.

Nice idea for a game
This was different to try with my granddaughter. Good to spend time with grandkids, I would say early elementary, and really any age it's fun to use.

Fun little variation on the classic game of Memory
Here is different type of game involving making matches from memory. The set-up involves placing the pins randomly around the board, with the colorful ends hidden in the specially drilled holes, and only the identical, unpainted shafts showing. The pins will now be indistinguishable one from another. A roll of the die is meant to indicate which color you should attempt to find on your turn. When you make a match, you capture it, and the pair belongs to you. Play procedes until all the pins have been removed from the board, and the person with the most pairs is the winner. The wooden board is smooth on the top, but mine was slightly rough (not splintery, certainly, but definitely with a discernable texture to it) on the bottom, and honestly, even if it were perfectly smooth, a wooden board should still come with little rubber or felt feet, or a felt lining to prevent the base from rubbing and scuffing your furniture. This one doesn't have anything like that, but the listing states that the board has integrated storage for the game components, as well as showing a photograph of what looks like a white plastic base which snaps on to the bottom of the wooden board. This, you will not receive, so be aware. What else can I say about the board? The holes are uniformly drilled, neat and even. They are deep enough so that no hint of the colorful part of the pin is visible, and the pins fit nicely in their places. I could wish that the holes were just slightly narrower for a bit closer fit, but as they are, they're adequate. It is possible that your fingers will disturb a nearby pin when you reach for one in particular, but although the knocked pin may move a bit from being brushed, it will stay in place. The pins were all present, and the wood is completely smooth and polished. Their size is larger than I expected, and their classic shape (tapered and then capped) is easy to grasp, and resembles a pawn in chess or in the game of Sorry. The die is also wooden, about the size of a standard D6, with rounded corners and edges. The colors are marked, one on each face, but the die is noticeably darker than the board or pins, and the colors don't stand out quite as much against the darker die. If the die had been the same pale wood as the pins and board, I think the colors would have had more contrast, and been a little clearer. No instructions came with the game, which is always a big turn-off for me. If you're going to sell people a game or activity, everything necessary to play should be included, and this is especially true of directions. No one should have to guess, or go online to try to figure out how you thought the materials should be used. For instance, let's say I roll the die, and get red. Ok, now I pull a pin, but it's blue. In a normal game of Memory, I would draw a second pin, hoping for blue, but in this case, if the die determines the color I'm looking for, does that mean my turn is already over? I was supposed to be going for red, and I got blue, so presumably play will now pass to the next person, but that's just me trying to sort through the poorly written description in the listing. There are no official instructions in the box for me to check. The box, unfortunately, leaves quite a bit to be desired. The cardboard isn't particularly strong, and mine arrived already squished as a result. Also, rather than being the standard two-part box, with a separate bottom and lid, it has a tabbed opening along one edge, and you have to hold it open with the fingers of one hand while sliding the components in or out with your other hand. It's a clumsy arrangement, and not one I'm fond of. And if they had gone with a separate top and bottom, the players could have used the two halves of the box to hold their captured pins during play, and that would have been an added practical benefit.Overall, if you're interested in having this game for your home or classroom, the main components are fairly well-made, and should last for years, but there may well be nicer quality sets out there, and it's probably worth checking around to see what's out there.

Great game for children!
I bought this for my granddaughter(age 7) & she loves it. This is a memory game where the players use memory to match the colored pegs after the are inserted into the wooden base. The game ( pegs & base ) are made of quality wood & paint. Difficulty is just enough to keep it the game fun. This gift is a hit with my grand kids!
