Box arrived badly damaged but actual game itself is a hit
I don't believe it was the seller's fault; I think it was Amazon packaging/delivery and Amazon reimbursed for the damage, so I'm still giving it 5 stars. The game itself is perfect for my middle schoolers. I homeschool & am teaching about ancient Greek civilization, plays, myths, mathematics, etc., so this is a fun reprieve. It's probably also good as a math game for grade schoolers, but is really fun when everyone catches onto the rules & goes in very fast rounds of constantly stealing Zeus on each turn. It would be fun to have an expansion set that has monsters, nymphs, etc., that allow you additional moves. We're going to add in one where you have to get up & swap seats/cards. The faster you play this (with at least 3 people) the more fun. I was really pleasantly surprised. It's also a good exercise in doing basic 2 digit addition/subtraction in your head (or you can write it down). I also use the opportunity to randomly quiz them about the gods/goddesses that are played or related plays/myths. I do wish they could have just replaced the game box but the game itself is pretty fun & a winner, so it passed the middle school "vibe check" lol. They didn't want to stop playing it & kept begging me to join them, so 5 stars from me.

Educational and addictive!!
We purchased this for my son after he played it in his 4th grade classroom. It is wonderful for mental math and also involves some strategy. Easy to learn. My son doesn't want to stop playing! Also, a good math refresher for adults;) Will buy several more for birthday gifts.

Fun, fast, addictive new game concept!
I love collecting new games but often feel like new games borrow or steal ideas from old games and just tweak or change one or two things. Not the case with Zeus on the Loose. It's different and catchy. My extended family hates math and yet they got hooked on this game at a recent family reunion. The goal is to catch Zeus by playing a card that brings the collective total to a multiple of 10. It might sound challenging and it takes a few minutes to learn, but it is really easy and addictive and fun. Great for all ages.

Fast paced competitive game as you steal Zues and great for practice in adding (and subtracting) to 100.
Bought for my 7 and 10 year old, but my 13 year old loved it too. We are competitive so the constant stealing of Zues almost every turn was almost comical as he quickly changed hands. The game is simple: use number (and different special god cards) to get to 100. Whoever is holding Zues at 100 wins the round and spells a letter from ZEUS (win four rounds- wins the game). Some rounds were longer than others depending on if they were being evil and using god cards to drop the count down (I hate Hermes because it would reverse the number, such as 91 to 19, but my kids loved that of course). You also can steal Zues if you make the count hit a multiple of 10 on your turn, or if you have a matching number card you can play out of turn and steal Zues (such as place a 2 on the last 2 in the drawpile. I love that this helps them add in their head, but I also hated it too, because I ended up doing a lot of the math as the count went up and down (and stealing Zues was so exciting they forgot where we were at- 50 would have been better than 100 in my opinion but I see why it needs to be so high with the mischievous god cards). I am tempted to put a calculator on the table while playing, but then they'd loose the "secret" learning feature this game provides. Great game that you can take with you. For faster games, just play one round instead of several. We also bought this with Sleeping Queens and we like both games, but this one slightly more, especially the older kids or kids with short attention spans.

Math game that everyone likes?!? Yes!
Our whole family loves this game. Myself and my 11 year-old son, my 23 yr old sister, my parents, we all love playing this. There is math involved and strategy as well but most of all it is fun. You also get a little intro into some Greek gods and goddesses. Each card is numbered and you have a hand of several cards. As you play a card, you need to add the value of your card to the pile. It is mostly addition but there is also some subtraction. Not too hard but you have to be able to keep track of the total number in the pile so you know what it will be when you add your card. Play continues until the pile totals 100. Of course there are also tricky cards. One of my favorites is Hermes who flips the value of the pile. If the pile is at 59, it suddenly comes 95. Then someone could play a card that brings it back down to 50. I think it would be good for math teachers to use as well. I teach social studies and although I have SS games, I also brought this in for our tutorial (study hall). The middle schoolers loved it. It is cheap enough that if you don't LOVE it, you haven't spent a ton. But I haven't met anyone yet who hasn't liked it!

My 11-year-old loves it!
A quick learn and loads of fun. I love that it also sneaks in a little math for my 11-year-old alongside the fun. He has a hard time with losing, but the game play features "rounds" as you seek to spell out Z E U S which has the added advantage of helping him lose a little as we play too. Fun characters, illustrations, and the game play is intuitive but variable enough to keep it interesting and a challenge (for adults too).

Quick, easy and so so fun to play! Excellent game for 5/6 year old starting to learn who to do mathematical operations but super fun for bigger kids and parents! Absolutely recomend it

Nos encantó, es muy entretenido y fácil de jugar. Dice que es para niños de 8 años o más porque se debe sumar, pero mi niña de 4, aunque no sabe sumar, se divierte mucho con las cartas de poder.
