I switched to this litter about one year ago and love it! It is amazing how clean and fresh it stays for quite a long time. I use one bag for 2 litter boxes. I have 2 cats that use them The litter easily lasts 3-4 weeks, seriously! It does not smell and I still can't figure out where the urine goes LOL It is easy to scoop the poop and lots of litter does not stick to it, making it wasteful. The finer, sand quality makes it softer on my cats feet so it does not bother them. I use a mat underneath the catch the extra litter. I do not notice a huge amount outside of the box because of this.

The litter holds up well even if neglected during a busy week. The cats love it, if you are having any problem issues with peeing outside of the box, try the switch to crystal litter. Definitely higher quality and less dust than the Purina, does still have some dust. Cuts smell completely for a full month of use. Make sure you are "churning" it or whatever they call it as it makes it last much longer. It also doesn't seem to track nearly as bad as the Purina brand crystal litter which I really appreciate, because ew.

I’m so sad this litter is out of stock. It really is the best. The crystals are very fine unlike a lot of other crystal litters I have tried so there aren’t all the sharp edges that feel like stepping on legos if it tracks out of the box. I find that it didn’t smell and lasts several weeks before needing to be replaced. I can’t really speak to the health monitoring quality. It always shows up blue for my cat but the vet wasn’t concerned and didn’t find any urinary issues.

Summary - Use this if you think your kitty may be having a urinary issue and need to confirm but its not great for everyday use. Positives: My cats seem to like this stuff better than the old scoopable litter. It clearly showed there was blood in the urine from one of my cats which was my reason for buying this. The bad side: This stuff is dusty. When the kitty tries to cover something or you scoop the pan there is an actual dust cloud that causes my kitty to go into sneezing fits. This is not scoopable litter so the pee just keeps absorbing until it stinks so bad you need to dump the whole pan. It says 30 day odor control but I would say it stinks in 2 weeks and needs to be changed out.

I recently decided to try switching from clumping clay to these crystals. I purchased Fresh Step and Pretty Litter to do a side-by-side comparison in the two boxes I have for my two cats. I started out with one litter box of clay and one litter box of crystals, but with those 2 options I couldn't get either cat to switch over to the crystals. Eventually I started mixing 50/50 mix of crystals and clay and they eventually gave that box a chance. Once they got comfortable with the crystals, I changed to one box Fresh Step and one box Pretty Litter. What an incredible difference between the crystals and clay. I am now a huge fan of the crystals. I've already exceeded the recommended one month recommended life of the litter and still no odor. It's great to scoop and only take out the waste, without removing cups of clumped clay litter in each scoop. Although Fresh Step and Pretty Litter did an amazing job, I am giving the nod to Pretty Litter because the Fresh Step tended to kick up a cloud of dust when I stirred to crystals as recommended. Pretty Litter was less dusty so that will probably be my choice in the future. But just by a smidge. If either one has a sale, I wouldn't hesitate to switch loyalty to take advantage of the sale. I was also happy to know that the color sensor showed that my cats are both healthy as far as their urine shows.

This cat litter is terrific. Just about everything makes my cat sneeze but not this litter. There is basically no dust! I admt I did not buy it for the health monitoring feature but that is nice to have should there ever be a problem. Crystal litter is so much lighter and much less messy than clay litter. Little secret: I add some clumping crystals (from another brand) and it makes this litter scoopable and lasts Fur-ever!

I disliked the fact that the litter tracks everywhere , it stinks and very dusty!! 😖
