Serfas RX Saddle Road Bicycle Mountain Bike Seat Womens Microfiber

I am writing this review during the Time of Covid. Can't go to the gym. My petsitter friend was kind enough to gift me her generic spin bike when she bought a Peleton. I tried 3 different seats. This one was the winner, mainly due to the channel cut all the way through, which prevents Urinary Tract Infections (UTI's). The designers were so smart!! I use it withOUT the padded underwear, which I find, CREATES UTIs due to pressure from the pads in ... er... the wrong place. Here is the breakdown of my Journey to the Right Seat. But first, here is a Key to which seat is which in the photos:1) 2 Black Seats: The big one on the left is the Cloud 9. The small one (with channel cut through) is the Serfas Rx.2) 1 Black/1 Brown: The big black one is the Cloud 9. The narrower brown seat is the Selle SMP TRK.1) Cloud 9-I had this Cloud 9 seat (big black seat in all 3 photos) for 7 years. It is soooo comfy. Nice for the caboose! BUT that solid nose in the front rubbed in the wrong place on a spin bike which thrusts you forward 45 degrees (vs positioning on a bike where you sit upright). Though I did not get a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) from this seat, I always felt as if I was on the verge of getting one due to the rubbing irritation from the solid nose. In addition, something I noticed from a recent review of the current Cloud seat, the rails wobble even when tight. This became an issue every time I moved my pelvis position or stood up to 'power pedal.' On to next try:2) Selle SMP TRK Lady Cycling Saddle - (Narrow, brown seat in 2 pics.) OUCH! This is the most painful seat I have ever sat on, bar none! Each person's anatomy is unique and this seat did NOT work for me. First, it was too long, with a hooked nose and it was really painful on the front edges which had no padding. Because it was so painful on the outside edges of the nose, I tried it with padded underwear and DID get a UTI. On to the next try:3) Serfas Rx Women's Saddle - Thank heavens the people who designed this understood a woman's body! As stated above, a channel is cut all the way through so there is no rubbing irritation and no danger of UTIs. Hallelujah! I do NOT wear padded underwear with this seat because the gel is comfortable by itself. If I could talk to the designers, I would recommend making the outer sides of the (front) nose even softer. They take a bit getting used to but are about 1,000 times nicer than the Selle! LoL. (Sorry, but it's true.) Another difference from the Selle, the Rx is shorter so the front nose sides don't dig in. Unlike the Cloud, the rails here stay put when I shift my pelvis position or get up to 'power pedal.' As a result, I feel secure. Though it is smaller than the Cloud, it is quite comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised. THE WINNER! No more UTIs (or feeling on the verge of one). No pain. Fabulous. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I cannot say enough nice things about this seat! Saved me from constantly taking antibiotics! I did have to ask my husband to install it on the spin bike as it was a bit convoluted but that is so minor compared to the fact that I can now exercise in my own home. Yay!

Best bike seat for comfort. Nothing out there compares to this!!

Only minor discomfort experienced by my wife on initial trial ride. Comfort expected to improve as as body acclimated to newBike.

I did an unbelievable amount of research before ordering a new seat for my wife's bike. I have a Serfas Rx performance for my bike and love it. I ordered this one for her as I can't see how the Serfas seats can be beat. Amazing quality and extremely comfortable. Like any seat they need to break in a little. My wife loves the seat and has been riding it for a couple of months now. Be sure to adjust it to i get the best comfort. If you look at the bottom of the seat there are blue gel sections. Adjust the seat so your but bones are over these. I had to move mine, my wife's, and my sons forward and tip the nose down a little. Everyone who sees or tries these seats gets them for themselves. I recommend spending the extra on the waterproof covering if you can. Both are very nice though.

Serfas RX Women's Saddle, Vinyl, did not work for the women and our house and so we bought the men's version, which is wider and longer. Worked in a bike shop for ten years, sold a lot of saddles, and I believe the sizing is reversed for what they sell today. The saddles seem to be built the same but sizing for men and women seems to be reversed. The men's version works much better for the women in our family than the men's.

It's the perfect seat. I ride distances with a bike club and I bought this to replace my old seat so I could ride further with great support and no pain. I use clipless pedals and my feet did NOT get numb, my tailbone was pain free. I bought it also for my full suspension mountain bike. Best seat I've had and I've tried all different price points, this was the best.

This is great and comfortable but we’re wondering why it never got to the right angle and we just found out that is missing parts .
