Healing while Quilting
Wanda Brunstetter did not disappoint in this installment of the “Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club” series. This book can be a stand alone novel but it follows the story line well if you read each novel in order. In this latest novel, we join Emma and Lamar in Sarasota, Florida where they decide once again to open their home to a quilting class. We are introduced to a new class: Jennifer, a pregnant new mom; Mike, a charter boat owner; Erika, a wheelchair bound teen; Kim, a waitress; Noreen, a newly-retired widow, and BJ, an artist facing illness. As always, Wanda does an excellent job keeping all the storylines flowing in a way that doesn’t confuse the reader. We also get to see old friends come for a visit. I love reading this series as we get to see Emma let God use her to touch so many lives. Wanda leaves the reader feeling like the characters are old friends who you can’t wait to visit again in the next book.

A guide for living
I enjoyed this book, for several reasons. I am from Indiana, I live in Florida, I am a quilter, and my church is made up of the most loving and helpful people I know. The book was a web of different people in different situations and how God worked with each couple or individual. I personally would have had an easier time following everyone if it had not skipped from one to another quite as fast. I had trouble keeping track of who went with which situation. I did agree with the overall theme that God can and will help if he is allowed.

Wonderful Chrisitan Fiction Book...clean, heart-touching & enjoyable
This book continues with it's previous "Half Stitched Quilting Club" predecessors & does not disappoint. Although it could be read as a stand alone novel, it's great to continue with the previous characters & know their history. Wanda Brunstetter does not disappoint with her Amish knowledge and how she weaves a story to capture your attention. Emma has a kind & gentle way of teaching her quilting students, & also being concerned about their well-being. It's good to see how God works in the lives of her students without her being pushy with her suggestions. Often times when offering advice doesn't work, it's best to "just pray" & that's just what Emma & her husband, Lamar does. You will enjoy this book as another Chrisitan fiction read which is clean but interesting. Thanks again Wanda!

The Healing Quilt
The Healing Quilt continues the story of Emma and Lamar Miller, a retired Amish couple who jointly teach beginning quilting classes. Each class brings six new characters, with their own set of personal problems, who want to learn to quilt. Students from previous classes are also interwoven. Emma and Lamar not only teach these students to quilt, but also help guide their students to resolve their individual situations. The characters are well developed, and the reader is made to feel like he/she is right there in the middle of the group, and is rooting for each student. I can hardly put these books down once I start one. I hope there will be many more to come. While each book can stand on its own, I recommend that you start with "The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club".

A quick enjoyable read.
I read this book, which is the third in a series, before the first. It didn't make a huge difference. It did make me want to go back and read books 1+ 2.I find that Brunstetter to be a very good author when it comes to the subject of the Amish. She is knowledgeable concerning this religion. I've always enjoyed her books and this was no different. However this is the first of hers I've read that has so much of the story focused on the "English" or the nonAmish. It was interesting to see how she wove the to groups together as they discovered each other.

The Healing Quilt
Another great book from my all time favorite author. Once again Wanda blessed my soul so much with this work. If you enjoy reading fascinating stories that offer a learning opportunity than you love this book.I have told my husband so many times that at times we have such a huddle bussle life style it would we great to live amoungst the Amish so we could learn to do without some of our stresses. It's amazing to me so read how helpful and kind the Amish are. They help one another during hard times, the Englishers in our community never have stepped up to help us with anything. Let alone family members. I had to leave a job that I so enjoyed in 2012, then in 2013 my husband has and still
