I've created a beach travel suitcase that I can use when I visit Florida occassionally for work. I usually try to extend my visit either before or after my work duties. Having had several bouts with skin cancer, I need to enjoy the beach under some type of cover. Usually, if I drive to FL, I take a beach umbrella but when flying, a 7 foot umbrella doesn't fit in the overhead compartment. So I found this shade by Rhino Valley. I was skeptical because others were so much more expensive so I was prepared for sub par quality. Not the case here. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the poles (4 of them) and the cover itself. I like the fact that this shade has twice the number of sand pouches the others do as I've seen others sway in the wind. Not this one as it's quite stable. Also, the storage bag is usually so tight that it's difficult to get everything back in the bag. Again, not this one. There is plenty of space to stick everything back in. It's also lightweight enough to be added to my beach suitcase without tipping the scale. My only question will be on the sand scoops. They are made out of a thin plastic and I'm not sure how long they will last. Time will tell but they do give you two of them so a buddy can help with filling the sand pouches. The color matches my small table (also packed in suitcase) and beach blanket. Can't wait to get back to the beach! Contents of my beach suitcase since others have asked. The octopus canopy is incredibly easy to set up, making it perfect for quick outdoor shade. Its durable materials hold up well against sun and light wind, providing reliable shade throughout the day. Very impressed with this beach shelter, it's made of high quality stretch cloth that lets a little bit of sun thru, comes in a small lightweight nylon carrying case, with adjustable legs, ties, and stakes, it was easy for two people to setup, took about 5 minutes, provided ample shade for 8 of us, and was easy to adjust for the angle of the sun, at full height a 6 foot tall person can walk under it with room to spare but it can be easily adjusted much lower, quite a few people liked it enough to ask us where we got it, have used it twice and it's held up very well, even in high winds, and we love not having to lug our big heavy shelter out onto the sand, recommended!!!

Had delivered to our campsite to use on the beach. Worked well for what we needed - just a little shade on the beach. Best part is it didn’t weigh 100 pounds like the standard pop up tents do. Height seemed a little low for adults to stand under but honestly didn’t limit our use. Also came in a bag that everything can go back into - nice to keep compact and all together

In looking at and deciding to purchase this beach tent, I was dubious for several reasons. 1): Were the poles flimsy and would bend of snap easily in a strong wind blow-over or pushing the tent upwards with the poles? 2): Are the 8 sand anchors really going to keep everything upright in strong winds? 3): Is it going to be feasible to put it by myself if it is just my wife and me? 4): Is it really all going to fit nicely back into the carry case and fit in one of our larger checked suitcases? Well, let me tell you, all of these concerns were completely unfounded. This tent works fantastic!! We used it for the first time in Maui this week. On the day we chose to spend the day on the beach, all the islands were under small-craft advisories, with winds sustained @ 15-20mph, with gusts easily @ 25. It took a little practice and patience to get the right combination of set-up completed (pole placement, sand bags filled and positioned, etc). But once there, this tent didn't blow over ONE TIME! The trick/key to making it work under strong wind conditions is to load up the 8 sand buckets COMPLETELY full, to where they probaably weigh 10lbs. ea. Then, once you have the tent up with the poles in place, simply dig holes in the sand AROUND the 8 buckets, and bury the buckets in the holes, with then more sand covering them up. It sounds like a lot of work, but it wasn't at all. And, depending on how many people are under the tent, you can either place the poles outword more to create more covered sittig area, or move them in more to create some custom/adjusted shade areas. We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers under the tent, along with 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, and we all had plenty of room and shade. You simple have to move around every 20-30 minutes if you want to keep totally shaded since the sunshine obviously moves around. But all of that was easy-peezy, and never a problem. I highly recommend this beach tent to anyone who spends quality time on a beach. My wife and I would so pleased that we're gong to look for a smaller version just for the 2 of us since we travel to beach locations several times a year by ourselves. It really works and does the job.

Love this beach shade. It’s super easy and relatively quick to put up by one person. Just stretch out the fabric with bag straps diagonal, then make sure you first dig a small hole for the sandbags and fill the sandbags inside the hole. If you don’t do this, the sandbags can move in heavy winds. You can shorten the stakes on either side to slant the shelter (can provide more shade). Packs into a relatively small bag and comes with two sand shovels. I prefer this over my pop-up shelter, which is a heck of a lot heavier and more cumbersome to put up. This is the second of these shelters for me - one is at our beach house and one is for travel & home use.

Easy set up, but wind will pull it down

This beach tent looks like a solid option for outdoor shade, though I haven’t had the chance to test it at the beach just yet. The material feels durable, and the UPF50+ rating is a big plus for sun protection. The size is generous—10x10 feet should be plenty of space for a small group to relax under. The setup seems fairly straightforward, with four stability poles and eight sandbags to keep it secure. I like that it’s designed to handle breezy beach conditions, though I’ll have to see how well it holds up in real-world use. From what I can tell, the fabric and stitching seem well-made, and the included carrying bag makes it easy to transport. Once the weather warms up, I’ll be putting it to the test. But for now, it looks like a well-made and practical sun shelter for beach days, camping, or even backyard lounging.

Prodotto bello, versatile e ben costruito. I materiali sono robusti e duraturi. Facile il montaggio e anche il trasporto grazie alla pratica borsetta. Le sacche di ancoraggio sono capienti e si possono riempire con circa 5-6 kili di sabbia permettendo di avere una copertura stabile anche in giornate mediamente ventose. In dotazione vengono fornite anche delle palette per la sabbia e diversi tipi di picchetti per superfici differenti. Il tessuto di copertura è elastico e restsiente al vento; Nb a mio avviso filtra circa il 90-95 per cento della luce solare. La versione 3x3 permette di riparare dal sole comodamente tutta la giornata 3-4 persone. Si tenga conto che una volta montato crea un ingombro di circa 5,5x5,5 metri.

Globalement très bien, très stable par vent léger, facile à installer et bonne protection solaire.

Gostamos muito. Fácil de montar e de transportar. É ideal para praias com grandes areais e, para períodos mais longos de permanência na praia.
