HEYDUDE Wendy Retired Colors, Women’s Shoes, Women's Slip-on Loafers, Comfortable & Light-Weight

I purchased the Wendy Grey at Famous Footwear and loved them so much I came to Amazon to order them in black as well. I wear a 7.5 but in shoes like Sanuk and Allbirds which don’t come in half sizes, I wear an 8. I went with an 8 for these as well. I tried a seven in the store and could tell that they would end up hurting my big toe, especially when my feet swell after being in them for hours. The 8 in this style/material fits me. It’s a looser fit but not in an oversized way. It does not slip off my heel and there is only about a centimeter of room in front of my big toe so an 8 was the right choice. That said, the material in these two colors is the thinner, more pliable cotton. I tried on other Wendy colors that were the thicker, stiffer canvas and my heel slid out of an 8. I will probably not buy any other material unless they start making half sizes. I also bought the Hey Dude Eloise Bootie (stiff material) from Journeys and had the same issue where the 8 felt better on the front half of my foot but my heel lifted up when I walked, and the 7 fit the back part of my foot but felt more narrow and snug on the front half which may be ok if you have narrow feet but I have an average foot leaning very slightly wide. I did end up keeping the 7 in the bootie to see how much they stretch, but all this is to say, if you are a half size, just know that the thinner cotton material will fit you differently than any of the other fabrics. In addition to the frustration of no half sizes, the company doesn’t make it clear which colors are the thinner cotton fabric. They list them all under the same Wendy style so you have to look closely at the pictures to see which ones have wrinkling, especially around the tongue to know which is the thinner material. They will also not have a printed lining so that’s another clue. Yes, I recommend. I wore them for three days in a row to walk around on vacation and never had any pain. Good support, well cushioned for shock absorption, lightweight and breathable, plus super cute for a casual look. They just need to make half sizes and separate by material type.

My mom needed a new pair of comfortable shoes, and these delivered. They are light in weight, and really easy to slip on. She wears them all the time. Once the size was there, these made a great fit. For a simple cozy solution for your feet, these from Hey Dude are worth the money.

Oh my god. These shoes are so darn comfy. I could wear them all day, day after day. And I do. As a teacher I wear them religiously. I’m on my feet nearly all day long. They don’t rub or irritate my feet in the least. In fact this is my second pair. I like the first pair so much I just had to get a second. I normally wear size 8.5 and often I’ll size up to a 9 in most shoes but in these I found there to be too much slippage in the 9s so I sized down to an 8. They were the slightest bit on the small side but honestly not really because the fabric was so stretchy that they felt great on my feet. My only qualm with them is that no matter how clean my feet are, the insoles always seem to collect dirt/floor debris somehow which just mentally bothers me. Otherwise I could literally buy them in every single color. Still considering doing so.

Hey Dudes are one of my favorite brands for shoes. I have many colors. I really like this color as it’s true to the color in the photo. It’s light and very neutral. The shoes are super comfy too. A tip for the inside sole that’s organic material and overtime can get dark in color from wear - remove the sole and put an ankle sock over the insert with the opening on the bottom of the insert. Slide is back into the shoe and you can wear without socks and it really helps with discoloration and smell. Wash the sock as frequently as you want. It doesn’t change to fit and you have warmth when you wear them in the winter.

I own many pairs of Hey Dudes. I purchased this pair due to the sale price being unable to pass up. Would purchase again. Size down as these tend to run big and stretch.
