Chilli Jam Man Heat-9 3-Peaks Jar, 200g

I was looking for some Chilli jam to replace some non-labelled stuff that came in a Christmas gift box. The 3 Peaks is brilliant stuff - I'm not sure there's a savoury food that it wouldn't improve.Be aware though it is SERIOUSLY hot. I find a dab on things like sausages is brilliant and it also goes brilliantly with roast pork. Stir it into things like casseroles, chilli, curries etc etcThe only complaint is that it has less the consistency of a jam and more a sauce so I managed to spill it when I first took the lid off. Luckily my one year old wasn't cruising the kitchen floor at the time or he might have had a nasty surprise.

I bought a few different jars directly from the 'Chilli Jam Man' two weeks ago. It's great stuff and actually tasty instead of simply going for the heat. They said it's called 'three peaks' because the three different peppers all hit different spots at different times. It starts with the sweetness of the jam before each chilli successively brings its heat and leaves a great burn. I've got a good tolerance for hot chilli and this created a sweaty forehead and scalp - great stuff. It's really good.The rest of the range is very good too. The ones with lower scovilles are sweet and full of flavour whilst the hottest ones start sweet then switch up to hot. They're all full of flavour too which can't be said for many chilli sauces and relishes.

The gradual climb through the heat of the birds eye and into the scotch bonnets before finishing with the bhut jolokia (spelling?) is amazing. This isn't for the faint hearted but if you like chilli, appreciate great heat with superb flavours, this is an ideal product for you.
