No, they are not. There are some comments about lead in the ratings section, but if I recall correctly, they're some minimal amount (around 5%, which is lower than what you'll find in most European crystal products). You still shouldn't store the alcohol in them for the long-term, but long enough for drinks and washing? They should be good! (I love my set! Very attractive!)

Are the mold lines visible? And how about the cuts, do they look sharp or look like cheap molded ones?

The nice thing is the mold lines are mostly hidden in the design in the longest “cut”. The cuts themselves are not as sharp as real cut crystal but for the price, these are a great deal. I have the wine glasses (many), the rocks glasses, the highball, and the fluted glasses. I intend to buy some replacements soon for the rocks and highball glasses since over the years, one or two have broken (not a common thing, but it happens). A nice note: Many tv shows and movies use these glasses on their sets. I love picking them out in scenes as you can tell from the design. They look marvelous.
