I have found this glue gun to be the overall best that I have used. I bought it primarily for the lower temperature as I have a habit of burning my fingers. I had clear glue sticks to use up..and found that they were..'hard' to push through the gun..and assumed that this was the nature of the gun. It is not. Once I used the sticks that came with the gun, the difference was quite shocking. The glue went through the gun with ease, yet, there was no change in gun temperature. A lesson learned here. If you are having difficulty using other brand of glue sticks...you want a glue with a lower wax content and a greater polymer content. Before buying particular glue sticks, I would google the basic content of said sticks. As I have said, with accompanying glue sticks, worked far better than most glue guns that I have used. Top marks for this product. Gorilla hot glue sticks work very well with this gun.

I have had hot glue guns in the past, but have been afraid to allow my under 12 year old grandchildren to use them. I searched and read reviews and finally decided to purchase this warm glue gun. Great product. It warmed up pretty quickly and stayed warm throughout its use. The kids enjoyed being ale to glue with it and not have to worry abut getting burned - yes, the glue is rather warm when it leaves the gun and the tip is hot, but the burn issue is minimized. The only fault I find is that the "stand" part of the handle is rathe tippy - for more safety, I would recommend getting a glue gun stand. A draw back is the fact that they are corded so that limits the range of use.
