Bought these almost a year ago. Made an advent craft ornament calendar with these. Used a 3 inch to sew ornament design and then put design into these 2 inch with the small circle, tightened screw and then with a glue gun glued the larger circle on the back and hung on my 4 foot christmas tree. Great quality. I had no issues with these hoops. The title does say a display frame. These are not doing your initial needlework thats why I used a 3 inch with my design stamped on and then transferred over to the 2 inch display.

Makes a lovely ornament

I bought these mini hoops for the size, 2" in diameter. They were intended for cross stitch ornaments, but when I inserted the fabric into the hoop to center it I notice that the fabric was getting stained! The dark brown stain on the inside circle rubbed off on the fabric. Also many of the holes are drilled either too close to the circle or to the sides, making the insertion and the turning of the little tiny screws very hard and often impossible. Note that the outer circle has to be glued to the frame. I bought another set to see if they were better, but they were not, less than 1/3 in each lot had the holes drilled so I could fit the screw and secure the nuts, and to make things worse the frame cracked as I was turning the screw. I ended up running a ribbon through the holes to complete my project. I do not recommend this product for these reasons: - holes drilled to close to hoop and/or to edge making the use of the enclosed nuts and screws futile. - some of the hoops with the holes drilled properly cracked as I was turning the screws. - the inside circle of the hoops is stained dark brown and does easily rub off on the whatever craft you slip it on, in my case cross stitch aida cloth.

Will be getting more! Perfect for my cross stitch project. Only downside, don’t tighten very tightly or they’ll break.

I use these for crafting and they are perfect. I have bought them several times over and they always have terrific quality and are very sturdy. I love that they are individually packaged. It makes it easy to keep all the hardware together.

I've bought these hoops often and every box is different. Sometimes they're perfect. Others, like pictured, have the screw holes too low so the screw and bolt won't tighten. Others, the wood is cracked where the hole was drilled. It's really disappointing that they're not consistent.

If you are looking to make jewelry, this probably isn't the size for you, but they were perfect for what I needed them for I make and sell embroideries and have been using small bamboo hoops to make magnets. For some designs I need a slightly bigger hoop and this one is about 2" so I have a little more room and I haven't been able to find this size elsewhere, they are all smaller. I am very pleased and will be ordering again once I use these up making holiday gifts. P.S. if you want to glue a magnet *under* the back wood piece you glue on at the end I recommend getting the 1mm thick magnets, not 2 or 3, and get ones at least 10mm wide (that will have a weak hold, might need 2). Hot glue them in there and bam, cute little personalized magnet!

The hoops are a good size for cross stitch ornaments. Although, some of them weren’t able to be used because the hole wasn’t drilled correctly to get the screw through. Also, the stain on the outside of the ornament can rub off onto your fingers, so when I was trying to put my ornament together the dark stain from my fingers would get on the fabric, staining that as well. Overall, cute size, but not the easiest for mounting cross stitch ornaments.
