Hairpin legs are originally from the United States, where Henry P. Glass was ordered to design a modern garden set after the Second World War. His design proved to be the beginning of a new minimalistic style which was quickly adapted by Scandinavian furniture designers. Hairpin furniture is back and once more blows over from the USA to Europe. Our hairpin legs are popular among DIY fanatics and professional furniture manufacturers. The legs invoke a mild nostalgic retro feeling that fits in any interior and exterior decoration. The hairpin leg is made from no less than 12 mm thick solid steel. To achieve extra sturdiness, we have fitted the hairpin with a 10 cm x 10 cm mounting plate with four screw holes. This also makes our hairpin legs suitable for heavier table tops, shelves, etc. The set of legs is delivered with 18 special screws 5 x 25 mm for our 28 mm thick table tops. With only a few screws, you can turn your current locker or side table into a super hip retro piece of furniture.  Do you have an old table or forgotten locker lying around somewhere? This set of hairpin legs consists of 4 units of 40 cm, which have been coated with a transparent hard wax, making them suitable for indoor use. If you will permanently use them outside, it is wise to treat the hairpin legs with a metal paint such Hammerite, for example. Their length make these hairpin table legs perfect to use underneath 2-5 cm thick table tops. For bigger and higher tables, side tables and flower boxes, you can also use our 74-cm high hairpin sets. The holes in the mounting plate 10 x 10 cm are suitable for four screws of 4.5 or 5. The length depends on the thickness of the material you use. Of course, it is advisable to use screws that are as long as possible.
