Bargain.
Nice flexible rods, however these ones are black in colour, making them less visible if for instance, fishing cables in dark conditions.Brass ends do feel a little brittle, however due to the cost, this is not much of an issue if treated with care. Hook and flexible nylon are an additional bonus and have worked. Nice.

If only I'd sent them back straight away!!!
I've gone through plenty of these over the years and found for £10/£15 you get at least a year or two's use but these are by far the worst!!!... at first when I saw how flexible they where I thought it could be good but soon realised you can't rod anything further than a few meters as they bend to much and drop down gaps, then quickly found out although flexible, also brittle, I broke three of my ten rods in week one.... To top it off they're black making them fantastically invisible in dark places e.g. Under floorboards where they are designed to be used. All in all grade A purchase. NOT 👍🏼

Yes! They Do Break and Fall Apart.
Out of ten rods one has so far broken resulting in me losing another between my Thermalite block wall and plasterboard. To be fair I was giving it a hard push and the rods do need to have a balance between flexibility and rigidity. Nevertheless it could be argued the broken one was not fit for purpose. Worse was that the flexible tip fell out of its holder, so poorly attached was it. I superglued it back in and crimped it with my pliers only to cut it virtually in half as it was so weak. I am up the creek since I have five rods down my longest run and female connector at the top and male at the bottom so I cannot attach the eyed puller. My fault! I have just cut a short section of a setscrew and threaded it into the female connector making it male so I can attach the eyed connector. IF YOU HAVE SHORT-ENDED YOURSELF YOU ARE IN LUCK SINCE THE THREAD SIZE IS THE SAME AS THE SCREWS HOLDING YOUR WALL OUTLET PLATES ON!!I am uncertain if more expensive kits are any better but do expect an attrition rate of about 20%.Mike.

Excellent value for money, but very rigid

Work fine, tube seems reasonably robust and the ends don't seem as prone to breaking off as with others in this price bracket. The colour is rubbish, but I made the rods a lot more visible by winding some yellow tape around them at intervals.

Money well spent
These saved me time and scraped knuckles while passing cables under the floor. I consider the money well spent.Goods arrived on time.

They are black not blue
Cable access rods should be a bright colour like blue or orange - so you can easily see them in dimly lit access areas (under floorboards, in roof-spaces etc). These are not blue as in the picture, but black. Not well thought through, and for this reason be awkward to use. They are going back.

As mentioned in other reviews the rods are black not blue as pictured, which make it more difficult to find in dark voids.Quality isn't exactly on par with super rods, but it hurts a lot less when they snap or get stuck.
