Merrell Men's Jungle Moc Slip-On Shoe

This pair is my third, although the first and second were the Nubuck; that's the one with the X's on the soles, and for some reason, as I read in a review from a wise user, this model, with the different sole, even though they're ten bucks cheaper, seems to be the better shoe. After wearing these for only two days, I agree with him! This sole just gives you more support, and after three years, my Nubucks had thrown in the towel. Man, they were tired, and I could tell - there just was NO support left; when it did your feet more harm to wear them than than not, well....there ya go.Trying these new ones on, I could tell right NOW, within ten steps in the living room that the difference was "like wow, man!!!" ....and I expect them to last a lot longer, also. They just seem to wrap around my feet like a Kid Leather Glove with a Rabbit Fur Lining. I learned almost too late in my life to wear good quality footwear; if you don't, you'll pay too heavy a price in sore feet too early in the day and in your life. My sister's paying now by always buying seven dollar K-Mart Junk shoes. I tried to tell her, but.... Anyway, these are wonderful shoes. If you wore the Nubucks before you did this model, be sure to order this one a size smaller! I always wore a size 13 in the Nubucks; my 13's arrived in this Jungle Moc, and it was too big!! I returned them, Amazon sent me a size 12 at the same time (isn't Amazon great to deal with?), and two days later my 12's are here. Yay! And, of course, they fit perfectly. Far out. Hokay, Time for me to shut up. Thanks for your patient ear. Great footwear. Get a pair. Bioman out.

This is the second pair of these Merrell slip-ons I have purchased. I still use my old ones, but I was happy to get the 9-wide (which wasn't available when I bought my first pair over a year ago). They hold up well and are easy to slip on/off. I like that they are waterproof and have kept my feet dry through the north Idaho winter. I also like that they have good tread for rocky terrain further making them a great multiuse comfortable shoe. I highly recommend.

This is my third pair of the Merrell Jungle Moc. I keep buying them because they are stylish, available in different colors, comfortable and of excellent quality. Each pair I've received fits exactly like my very first pair. I'll continue to stick with Merrell's because of their quality craftmanship.

Durable, well made, good looking shoes that I plan to wear until their disintegration, at which point I will get some more. I’m generally hard on shoes and this pair has glibly defied my repeated efforts at their destruction. Even my mastiff gave up chewing them based on the apparent lack of results.

I have a long and narrow foot, and in the other pairs of Merrell trail running shoes and hiking boots I own, I wear a 13 (my normal size), but I bought these Jungle Mocs in 13 and my feet were swimming in them. Even with thick socks on my heel was coming out and there was about a full size extra in length at the toe. I would probably have fit better in a 12. I ended up getting the Moab Rover Mocs in 13 and they fit me perfectly. I also prefer the Vibram soles on the Rover Mocs as they are similar (basically the same) to the hiking boots I have and I find them to have better traction on hikes. I can definitely see the lure for these Jungle Mocs just as an everyday shoe though. Style-wise I think they're a little ugly with the oval nubs running up the sides looking like Octopus tentacles and again find the Moab Rover Mocs to be more streamlined and better looking. But for kicking around and being comfy these Jungle Mocs do rock. Just know if you have narrow feet, the "D" or "M" which is the average width choice (doesn't go any more narrow for these), it's not as snug as you'd like and I'd recommend the Rover Mocs. For wider footed folks though these Jungle Mocs would be a better choice. I'd go at least a half size smaller though if not a full size smaller. Merrell rules. Cheers

Work fine on snow, but not on ice - use a pair of ice grippers though and then they work fine. I bought a half size larger to use wool socks with here in the winter and they are very comfortable that way. Regular socks they're a little loose, but still very comfortable.
