NFHK 5Gbps USB-C Type-C to SATA 22 Pin Adapter Cable for 2.5" Hard Disk Driver SSD Laptop

The USB-C male plug solidly fits into the female port on my laptop. I've purchased at least 2 similar adapters from other vendors and they have not established a firm connection. I use external SATA discs for Time Machine backups on my Macs. With adapters from other vendors the backups often have failed with a "disk ejected improperly" error caused by a less than firm connection from the adaptor to the computer. This one works great!

Just what I needed to transfer data from PC to my iPhone. This works great. No need for iTunes or some Apple software.

Even though my (old) pc has a specialized EsataP port (not plain old ESata) that "should" be able to power a 3.5 inch internal sata drive, it does not. I purchased this cable with that in mind. I did the research and made sure that this was the correct cable and that it would supply 3 volts, 5 volts, and 12 volts. But when I plugged it in, nothing worked. Beware, ESataP is supposed to be able to provide all 3 voltage levels and should be able to power up a 3.5 inch 5200 rpm or 7200 rpm internal sata drive. ..."Should" ... Maybe the cord is bad...maybe not. There is a great amount of confusion and, apparently, a few different standards with the same form factor (ESataP vs ESata). Also, from what I can glean, it depends on your PSU. So....buy this cable and be prepared to be disappointed. I am giving the cord 5 stars because the cord is probably fine. It is probably the PSU or that particular model of PC. And, yes, I know the port in the photo says esata. But I assure you, it is a type of esatap (because of the "ears" on the port.)

snug fit stays connected. Works nicely. plug and play. cheap if you're in a pinch. DOES NOT COME WITH A POWER CORD. double check what power cord it needs before you buy it so you dont accidentally get the wrong one like I did. overall very nice. works with 2.5 inch drives without the need of a power cord.

SMART data of the attached SSD is passed through to the host computer. (Some adapter controllers "swallow" the SMART data.) Excellent product. Absolutely love it.

Item was delivered promptly and well packaged. However, after unpacking and testing it i had no luck getting it to recognize any of my SSD's or HDD. Since I ordered the one with optional DC port, even after connecting to DC still had not luck getting it to work. The indicator lights do come on, but that's about it. Was really excited to replace my current one with this one as its more portable but unfortunately i have to look elsewhere. YMMV, good luck with your purchase and hope you have better luck.

Very easy to use. Fast transfer speeds. Works great for dumping files between other drives.
