Coleman Cobra Tent, ultra-light compact man tent

I have bought this tent for use when I am hill walking and I wanted something light, easy to pitch and roomy for me and my kit. Having done my research on this style of tent it was a toss up between this and the Vango Banshee 200. I have many Coleman and Vango tents and products and none have ever let me down. As this was around £20 cheaper than the Vango I opted for this. The Vango is a very good tent but with me being 6'4" and big I needed something I could stretch out in as well as have room to sort my admin out and keep dry at the same time. The Vango felt just a little cramped for someone of my size with a limited width. Dont get me wrong here, its a great tent but the Vango really was a little small for me in length. My brother has bought the Vango and swears by it. The Cobra is superb! Its brilliant in the fact that it is roomy for me inside (never believe a 2 man tent can fit 2 people in with kit though) and has storage areas outside the pod sleeping area on both sides for ditching your boots, bergen, etc. Its big enough inside to sort yourself out but small enough to battle the wind outside. It seems solid enough and its light. The sack that it comes in has a nice design where it is side opening with a draw cord and tightening straps. The tent fits straight back in easily with no fuss. It took no more than five minutes to get down and packed away. The pegs are small and lightweight but I can understand why people buy after market pegs as the catching hooks are a little small. More of a piece of mind thing really as the pegs are good but need to be dug into the ground a little firmer. Great tent, great price, great size, great purchase!

This is a smashing little tent. Just used it for a week in all weathers, rough camping etc. This is dead easy to erect and take down and took me no more than ten minutes to do. It was bone dry without a single leak and there's so many anchoring points that I can't see strong winds being an issue at all. In fact I encountered strong winds and rain and the tent stood up brilliantly. This isn't big enough for two but for one with plenty of gear it was more than adequate. I have a very minor grumble in that the flap that you use to come in and out of the tent has a nasty habit of dropping down on your bare back as you go in and out for a wee or leaving the tent in the morning. This is irritating as the interior like all tents gets a bit of condensation on it. Also rain water can flap into the tent like this. However I can't see much to rectify this. It's a small tent designed for rough, quick on the fly camping so an issue like that really doesn't detract from the rest of it. Just a point of fact. I'm so pleased with this buy especially as it was so cheap and clearly manufactured well. It packs up small and is light which is brilliant for hiking etc.

Like: Easy to pitch (takes a bit of practice to do well). Stands up well to wind and waterproof. Got half buried in snow and stayed strong. Enough room for one and kit (I'm 5ft 3). Good value for money. Dislike: There is only a door on one side. This means you may have to choose between pitching it to the wind or to the view... or having your head downhill :( This is the thing that annoys me the most about this tent. One of the ends of the poles has come loose, making it really hard to get them out the eyelets when taking the tent down. This happened after about four pitches, so not great quality. The inner ripped when I was stretching my legs on the second night, which I patched up. This comes up at 2.3kg on my kitchen scales so not super light weight but light enough for hiking with. No major issues with condensation (except when cooking in vestibule or getting snow on it, which is to be expected). All in all, this is a good value for money introductory backpacking tent. It has taken me on many good adventures and I'm sure many more. I do think I'll be upgrading to something more well made in future, but at this price point for an initial tent that can stand up to the elements, you can't go wrong really.

La tienda está muy bien. Es tal y como la describen. Ligera, con suficiente espacio para dos personas y muy fácil de montar. Perfecta para andar por el monte.

Je cherchais une tente double toit relativement spacieuse pour ranger le sac à dos et avoir un peu de place, tout en limitant le poids : la Cobra 2 est idéale. Je l'utilise comme tente solo : pour tenir à 2 là dedans ils faut deux petits gabarits et avoir une bonne affinité avec son partenaire de rando... Les +: * facilité de montage/démontage * solidité (et en cas de problème il y a un kit de réparation fourni) * spacieuse et confortable (rangements intérieurs avec des poches) * excellente étanchéité * résistante au vent * volume : la toile roulée tient dans le fond du sac à dos, et il suffit de ranger les arceaux verticalement le long du dos * fire retardant : elle ne devrait pas flamber * aérée : le système de ventilation Coleman maintient un flux d'air dans l'habitacle * plutôt légère (2kg) pour une tente double toit offrant autant d'espace Le -: * les sardines en alu : c'est léger mais ça se tord facilement

Prodotto di altissima qualità e di un prezzo ragionevole. Premessa ho aspettato 2 anni a scrivere questa recensione per poter testare in tutto e per tutto questa tenda e posso dire che i PRO sono molti e i CONTRO pochissimi dopo 2 anni di utilizzo. LO DICO SUBITO QUESTA TENDA ESIGE UNO SPIRITO DI ADATTAMENTO ASSOLUTO NON E' PER TUTTI. Usata per più di 2000 km in quasi 3 anni di avventure tra bicicletta e cammini posso affermare che è un vero è proprio affare per chi come me stava cercando una tenda non troppo pesante (2 kg), leggera, facile da montare e smontare e soprattutto facile da trasportare a piedi o in bicicletta (vedere le ultime due foto - lo zaino era di 30 litri per chi volesse capire le dimensioni della tenda). Di seguito la recensione: PRO - Peso leggero con paleria flessibile, picchetti leggeri ma robusti. - Materiale ultra resistente al fuoco (concede circa 10/5 minuti di tempo per abbandonare la tenda in caso d'incendio nei paraggi o vicino alla tenda, mai testato e spero mai di farlo) - Impermeabile alla pioggia garantito, ho trascorso 3 notti di puro temporale e pioggia a non finire e mai avuto problemi con il vento e con l'acqua (raccomando di montarla ben tirata per il vento in caso di uso in montagna). Mai entrata acqua in tenda. - Facile da traportare. - Mai avuto problemi di condensa interna dal momento che se è ben tirata il telo esterno non tocca quello interno, ottima cosa soprattutto per uso in montagna o in altipiani. - Ben fornita di zanzariere anche se piccole fanno il loro lavoro alla perfezione. - Tiene ben isolati dall'esterno, garantisce quindi una buona temperatura interna per uso invernale o primaverile. - Ben arieggiato all'interno, bisogna tirarla bene. - Ottima anche per due persone con zaino da montagna da 25/30 litri gli scomparti esterni coperti permettono di mettere zaino e scarpe esterne riparati dalla pioggia e vento. - Scomparti laterali garantito che sono grandi nonostante la tenda sia da 2 posti con buone tasche interne per riporre oggetti in entrambi i lati. Si riesce anche a cucinare se fuori negli scomparti laterali se fuori diluvia o piove. - Interno abbastanza grande per due persone (sono alto 1.68) un po' piccole, sconsiglio di dormire in due per persone alte più di 1.75m meglio quella da 3 posti. Dentro con il mio materassino ci stavo benissimo e quando ho viaggiato in coppia mai avuto problemi in due persone a dormire. - La sacca che contiene tutto è super robusta e si comprime molto bene. CONTRO - Temperatura interna, questa tenda non è proprio adatta per viaggi in posti CALDI, è pensata per trattenere il calore interno ragion per cui se non lascerete aperto l'entrata con la zanzariera chiusa morirete di CALDO alla notte, ve lo garantisco. Ottima invece per l'inverno e autunno usata a quote oltre i 1800 e sui 2200 non ho mai sofferto il freddo, è anche vero che molto del freddo dipende dal saccopelo e dall'indice di isolamento del vostro stuoino. - Poco spazio per muoversi in piedi o accucciati, per cui ci si deve adattare alle sue misure soprattutto se si viaggia in due dove uno deve aspettare l'altro fuori che finisca di sistemarsi o cambiarsi. - C'è solo un'entrata laterale avrei preferito avere entrambi i aperti con la possibilità d'entrare ma si può entrare solo da un lato; il telo interno permette comunque di aprire entrambi i lati per far arieggiare e mettere cose dall'altro lato della tenda. Con questo è tutto spero di essere stato d'aiuto a molti e consiglio vivamente questa tenda anche se vedo che il prezzo è aumentato (all'epoca l'avevo comprata con i saldi a 90€) ma vi garantisco che ne vale tutti soldi. Decided to upgrade my tent which i use for bikepacking. After looking at various tent ranging from ridiculously high priced to cheap smd cheerful i went for the Colemann cobra 2 ive have I've a larger coleman which is over 20 years old and still does the job. So to this tent, it is compact and lightweight and very easy to set up took about 10mins for the first time and you don't really need the instructions which are attached to the bag. ALl parts are well made and feel sturdy and a small repair kit is included. I like the fact it has two internal door although not sure why only one outer door. Leg room is good, im 1.79m and have plenty of leg room although its not as high, my head touches the roof. If i have one gripe it would be that it is not really big enough for 2 people especially with kit. As a one man tent its ideal. I've yet to try it out in practice but am confident the Coleman name will hold true.

tenda venduta per due persone, probabilmente per una notte può andar bene, ma due persone entrano molto strette. e se non si utilizza un materassino. se si usa un materassino (entra solo il singolo) allora è perfetta per una persona sola. all'interno è grande. e offre un'ottima protezione dal vento e pioggia (non testata sotto piogga torrenziale) il montaggio ha richiesto 5 minuti per capire che non si dovevano montare gli archi, e 10 minuti per piantare tutti i picchetti che non sono pochi. e risulta molto stabile. grazie anche al basso profilo. all'interno se si ha un materassino è un po' basso, ma si sta comunque seduti. le tasche interne sono grandi, ma poco solide, nel senso che se metti qualcosa dentro di pesante rischia di uscire (forse avevo tirato poco le pareti ma non mi sembrava) lo spazio per le borse è ampio. sia all'entrata che una postazione sul retro non accessibile da fuori ma solo dal dentro tenda. ricapitolo, tenda ottima per un trekkig di una notte senza troppe pretese sul tempo. leggerissima e di facile e veloce montaggio. due persone dormono senza materassino. la consiglio per un utilizzo singolo.
